@@Septicshites Look, I like Lars and appreciate the massive influence he's had and the countless drummers that he's inspired, but half is being incredibly generous lol.
Are you joking? Can't tell. Sarcasm? I beleive he awoke still drunk with bus tickets out of town being pushed in his face by Lars and James. Something like that. Its crazy how things turn out. Dont dismiss him until you get a few things straight on the Guitar and talk to that Kirk kid, eh James? Personality power clash with Lars. Was probably more a problem for Lars, but something tells me I don't think it was a big deal for Dave. He probably Could have rolled with it for quite some time . Strange. it worked out for the best for both parties but I still get the sense it could have been even greater for Dave potentially. It was with him Where the greater talent and Metal spirit lay. Vocals were there at times but Dave didn't seem to care to much about that delivery. May have hurt his appeal a bit.. I dunno. By the time the whole breakup rap was well within the heavy metal press and public discourse after 'Peace Sells But Who's Buying ' had been out there a while, it would be my first hearing of an album I bought when it was released later that made me drop my jaw to the floor. 'Into the lungs of hell and Set the world on fire ' was like a blue flamed skate down the actual tubes to destruction only to hit the scorched earth to emerge and witness the distorted ragged figures shifting about in a horrifying inescapable madness. Said I as a greasy grumpy doodler . "Yep . I Get it. I can see the vision , though it hasn't quite arrived yet." I might as well had been Alex in Clockwork Orange listening to the Glorius Ludwig Van dreaming up pictures. Powerful piece of music. Wow.
IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN A WAY. A CHOICE. But obviously the band already had its little batch in it. Dave was too busy writing the framework for the fkrs launch. To busy being Distracted by WHAT MATTERED MOST. The Music.
The way he describes rhythm (“guy running on a short leg”) is both hilarious and easy to understand haha
He is very informational and good teacher, thank you dave
