complex answer: Klaus would be and has been a menace as a human. he has been given multiple opportunities to be a decent human… fish… thing, but even as a fish, he’s kinda trash

Status quo yes, but I feel I would wild out much harder given the limited opportunities Klaus has had. He’s got his boys! He learned to share…. I think while it might be weird to have a human adult German man living with the Smiths, I’m along for the ride and think he would just be a decent Uber-Floridian and can’t we all use more of that?
Lots of the characters are trash but none of them are trapped as a fish
I think that'd give Klaus a excuse to leave, and I don't think Stan would want that despite what he says and does

Honestly that's something that could happen and honestly could explain why some animals have the ability to talk

I believe as an ultra conservative patriot Stan thought it was his duty to stick to Germany for WW 2. There is still a misconception that being German makes you a Nazi but, Hitler himself wasn't even German. He just spoke the language and was elected to power to drive out all the communists. That's the part of history they don't teach in schools. The whole rise to power thing didn't happen over night and took a lot of political manipulation for it to get to that point. Much like what has been happening in the States recently.

just wanted to say, as a trans person, i find trans klaus headcanons hilarious for the very reason you mentioned. it becomes even funnier when you remember that many species of fish can change their sex for the sake of species preservation!

The simple version is: Klaus, all morals about who he is aside, instantly goes mad with his new human body, and that drive to spite and vengance without fail comes back to bite him. Basically, he gets a rare W, and instantly tries to smash it over Stan's head.
As a German Native Speaker I Can tell you that Our biggest mountain is written Zugspitze and pronunced tsuuk schpi tse.
I hate Body Swap episodes for more reasons than just being done to death. The characters involved are often depicted as being too stupid to avoid social interaction, and end up being humiliated as a result. I also hate how they don't take extreme measures to make sure they have time to figure out a solution. Here's some examples just off the top of my head.
Jimmy Neutron- When Jimmy and Cindy swapped bodies, they SHOULD have said screw Cindy's perfect attendance and stayed in the lab! I also can't believe they didn't use some kind of holographic projector system to make themselves look normal in public.
Gravity Falls- Dipper knows how Mabel thinks and what she could do in his body. He should have grabbed the nearest blunt object, cracked her over the head and tied her up in the closet while he handled the situation.
Kim Possible- The whole cheerleading scene was so cringe! They should have just said Kim had a family emergency, and NOT SHOW UP! This isn't hard!

Dipper isnt going to knock his own sister over the head, You also forgot the body swaps in Lilo and Stitch the Series between the title duo and Phineas and Ferb with Candance and Perry , some of these swaps the chsrcaters must go though for one reason or another such as Perry in Candances body must stop Dr Doof , and its jsut funny plain and simple
@@nicholassims9837 funny is subjective, and it's not plain and simple if I'm so annoyed with the attempts at humor that the idea of mindless violence and bloodshed make me chuckle more than the show itself.
Side note- Siblings get violent all the time as kids. If one pisses off the other just enough, the fists WILL fly. That's a simple fact.

They explain it neat and quick, they can't let Germany win the olympics after ww2 or something like that and they switched his brain as he was their champion. They put Klaus' body with the goldfish brain up anyway and it dives into the water after failing the jump, being a human body, it freezes solid. Which frankly sounds like a lot for wherever the Olympics were taking place.

I feel like since Claus is a fish, he can say stuff without worry since you can't punish a fish.
But when given a human body, now he can be punished and that's why he doesn't last long in a human body.
I feel like if claus was given a human body and given time and training relearn to hold back saying and doing stuff that could get him punished.
He would be fine.
The problem just seems to be that Claus got used to not being punished for saying stuff anymore because of him being a fish.
And once he is given a human body, he goes too far with his human body and loses it.
So give him and human body and give him time to calm down and readjust to being a human (a being who CAN be punished for doing or saying stuff) and he would be fine.

The reason Klaus is fish and not in the human body is because he keeps wrecking it from himself. Every time Klaus gets a new body he going to hurt Stan because he’s the ones been keep them prisoner in a gold fish body instead of putting him a different animal body that the CIA confirmed they have plenty of.

I've got to say to each his own on the grocery store subject. after the meat packing plant I took what I learned there to our grocery stores meat section. pros: friendly customers (most times), little management, hours I could live an actual life with, the equipment was on a small and not industrial scale so even if an accident happened it wouldn't kill me. one and only con: less money for not working 60 hours a week.

I get why Klaus won't get a human body back, but why doesn't he get a different animal body like a dog or monkey? That way he's not trapped in a bowl or cup & it's not like the CIA has a shortage of animal subjects. Hell, if those are too freeing, then put him in a mouse/rat body & keep him in a decent-sized cage, that way he has all too much autonomy & even when he does scurry around he'd still be small & vulnerable.

Sometimes they are done well (Teen Titans) and sometimes they are god awful (the Donkey Kong episode)
What I don't get is if Klaus was from East-Germany (the former DDR), hence why he was turned into a fish due to the Olympics... Why, or more like how, did he study in Frankfurt (am Main), which is in West-Germany (the former BRD)... I mean there is another Frankfurt (an der Oder) in East-Germany, but that didn't have a university until 1991...
So what the hell American Dad? If you wanna have a joke that he is in East-German stereotype at least get your facts right
Klaus is not canonically old enough to be a Nazi no it’s also possible that in universe, his parents may have been pushing that ideology on him because it’s not like that ideology disappeared when the war ended it still existed. People just couldn’t openly practice it but just like religion attempts to stomp it out ultimately failed.

The clones die when they reach the age of whomever they are cloned from. And as Klaus was an olympiad at the time he was in his early 20s. Furthermore, as the clones aged rapidly, the clone body would most likely die within 7 days.

Hate to be that guy, but what was stopping Stan from having the CIA scientists clone Klaus's human body? Like, yeah, the ice probably degraded the DNA but this show never cared that much about scientific accuracy. Plus Stan could've gotten him another body, yeah Klaus would want his original body, but beggars can't be choosers, plus what's stopping Stan from kidnapping a guy for Klauss?
He didnt get missing tho his mind was switched with the fish's, so the fish performed in his body and failed miserably what probably led to his death-> that's why they couldn't turn him back into a human

Until you made that video I never thought of that. Why don't they give Klaus a human body? I know his original was destroyed, but Stan could easily get a new one or have the scientists clone it. I want to see an episode explaining how Klaus got to living with the Smiths and why he is (still) living with them. I know he is the glue that holds the family together by being a punching bag, but I want to know if there is another reason of why he is still with them.
His “boys” would probably freak out cause they’re so used to seeing him as a fish. That’s my best guess.

My Answer: Stan believes that If he made Klaus human again, he would blab to the whole world about Roger's existence and possible hidden secrets of the CIA just to spite the family.
You know what I think would be a cool idea for an episode?.. what If, Klaus's brain was put into the body of a Dog?. Maybe a German Shepherd or a Rottweiler, It's been shown through out the show that, Steve has always wanted a dog. BUT when the Smith's get a K9 companion something happens

The real crime of them not changing the voices in body swaps is that we don't get to hear the va's Ernest impersonations of the other va's which are always so fun.
They always add one line of The character copying the other character but it's different.
I'd say its ok to make that joke. That community doesn't want to be perceived as being in power and those in power are the only people you can't make fun of as a rule of thumb in comedy. Its kind of contradictory for them not to take a joke made in good fun on the chin.
It was in the pilot that they didn't just put Klaus in a fish, they put the fish in his brain, it competed at the Olympics, it flopped to the water and swam off. How it ended up on a mountain is anyones guess but that's why the CIA didn't have it
