- This song was the main reason I wanted Twilight as Elphaba. She wants to learn magic and earn the esteem of her mentor Princess Celestia (please note that she is not the Wizard in this set, but rather how Elphaba/Twilight views the Wizard). Luna was the other option, but I already gave her the Idina Menzel role in "Frozen," which didn't require as much scenes. And there's more of Twilight to work with.
Now, as for Madame Morrible, I know some people like to use Celestia as sort of ironic casting, but I wanted to try something different. Every time I heard Morrible I kept hearing Ms Harshwhinny. While she's not evil, their personalities are rather similar, don't you think?
Oh god it hurst so much, when Elphaba has that ''vision'' where she says she sees the people of Oz doing a celebration about her and it's refering to everyone celebrating that shes ''dead''.

Twilight fits Elphaba well. Both worship someone, have spell books, and sometimes can’t control their magic
I like how you don't show us who the wizard is yet but rather who Twilight imagines he is. Also, Ms. Harshwinny as Madame Morrible is priceless.

For someone like me who has read the book(it was my favorite book when I was 10, I kept renewing it from the library), Twilight envisioning the wizard as Celestia fits so well
to me.
In the original story, the wizard wants to see everyone in Dorothy's gang individually to keep his "true form" hidden because he looks different to every new person who consults him. The first one he decides to see is the Scarecrow. When the Scarecrow meets the wizard, they take the form of a giant beautiful and strong enchantress, which is the way I'm sure many of the pony's in Equestria see Celestia. Now, Twilight is not the Scarecrow, but it is still a version of himself the Wizard wants people to see him as, someone strong and seemingly omnipotent, but also powerful, and Elphaba is blind to this pleasant facade aswell until much later.
It's unlikely that this reference to the book was in your intentions to show when making this, but it's just a little fun fact that made me happy when I first watched this video.
I haven't seen the actual film, but Elfaba's singing sounds sooooo good!!!

Also. Twilight does seem to be the only violet pony on the show. Which works for this set.

I understand that Wicked is a big project, but when you're finished, could you consider doing Guys and Dolls? I'm appalled that no one on UA-cam has made a Guys and Dolls pmv, and I think you'd be the best fit :)

what's really funny is that at the end of the video, that scene you used, rainbow dash dumps water on twilight, and that's what also melts the witch in the wizard of oz :p
edit: actually i take that back, we thought it was rainbow dash but it was rarity bc of the whole cutie mark switch
