One fall evening, David and his friend stopped by a newly opened cafe. They had already ordered and were talking softly. Suddenly, David's friend nodded toward the stage. David followed his gaze and marveled. A girl came to the microphone. She was incredibly beautiful. Dark thick hair, brown eyes framed by thick eyelashes, slim waist and sensual lips.The music played, and the stranger started singing. Her strong and high voice reached the deepest parts of the heart and the hidden corners of the soul. David's skin tingled with goosebumps as she sang.
"Who is she? Do you know her?" David managed to ask, overwhelmed with emotions and at a loss for words.
"Her name is Carrie," his friend grinned, noticing the sparkle in David's eyes. "She has an incredibly beautiful voice!"
When Carrie finished singing, the audience stood up and applauded. David and his friends stayed at the cafe a little longer, but Carrie didn't go back on stage that evening.
David was captivated by the angelic voice of the singer. Secretly from his friend, he started coming to the café to enjoy her singing. He always tried to get a table closer to the stage, so no one would disturb his admiration for her.
After each performance, he handed her flowers and soft toys, and it took a month before he mustered the courage to speak with her.
"Carrie," he said, "may I invite you to my table and offer you a glass of wine?"
"I don't drink alcohol, but I wouldn't mind a glass of water," she replied with a smile.
She had noticed this man for a long time, but she did not show it and secretly longed for him, regretting that he was too shy.
David pulled out a chair, inviting her to sit down. He called the waiter and ordered water for the lady.
"You sing beautifully," David confessed, overcoming his embarrassment. "I've never heard such a marvelous voice in my life."
"Is that why you come here every Friday?"
"Yes, I come to you because I like you. By the way, would you like something to eat?"
"Thank you, but no, I have to hurry home."
"May I walk you out?"
Carrie nodded in agreement. David was overjoyed, paid the waiter, and left the café following the girl.
"I live nearby," she explained. "It's very convenient. No need to worry about taking a cab."
"You have real talent! Did you study singing somewhere?"
"Talent is 70 percent hard work every day, and the rest is a gift from above. It took a lot for me to succeed. I studied at vocal school.""
"You could have had a brilliant future. Why did you give up the big stage and started singing in this café? I can't believe that was your dream."
"You're right," Carrie admitted. "Probably a successful solo career was waiting for me. But once, on a friend's birthday, we went to a karaoke bar. They persuaded me to sing in public for the first time. It was well-received, and the audience didn't want to let me go and begged for more. But at this moment I realized the big stage wasn't for me. I panicked at the thought of performing in front of a large audience. That's why I'm happy with a job at this café."
"The café owner must have been happy to hire you."
"Yes," Carrie laughed, "he gained more clients! Everyone came to hear me sing."
"I've been watching you for a month. You have your own fans who come to hear you sing every time."
"Are you one of them?" Carrie asked with a smile.
"Yes, I couldn't wait until Friday to see you again. I confess, it has never happened to me before. You're an amazing!"
In stories like this I wonder how someone who proclaimed love for a beautiful person could forget about her heart, soul and personality. He must have loved her for more than her physical beauty. I believe that beauty comes from within.

Her ex got what he deserved because of listening to his manipulative selfish mother. His mother only thought of herself. Thank you for the great story.

First and foremost never get in the way of your children’s happiness as they have their own desires.
Secondly beauty isn’t always on the outside that matters, but what truly matters is what is on the inside.
And lastly, Carrie found a kindred soul who like her suffered from the outer shell of their body. They deserve true happiness
David is a whimp. I am appalled at these self-centered ppl like David and his mother. Sometimes, it takes a tragedy to see 👀 the true spirit of fake ppl. I know the Lord Jesus Christ Almighty will put Carrie back together again. ❤️

It is very sad that Carrie has a bright future but was ruin by the carelessness of her fiance David. Wirst still he didn't want to listen to Carrie when she told him to drive carefully. It was very sad for Carrie when the accident happened that disfigured her face and David listen to his mother and left her when she needed him the most. Lucky she has a strong caring mother who didn't give up on her. Fate brought her to the cafe and meet a man who need someone to sing which she found in Carrie when he found out she can sing. Now the cafe owner employed her to sing in his cafe. Ron was a nice guy who also love music. Mother who control her son is not worthy Carrie's love. I don't understand why David listen to his mother to leave Carrie when he was the one that caused the accident that disfugured her. If he truely love Carrie he should stick with her no matter what.
Lucky she met Ron who love her for who she is. That is true love. I feel sorry for David too for being manipulating by his mother and now he lost the one he love but it too late. Carrie is now happy with Ron and they are good match. Lesson learn don't listen to your mother if you find your soulmate.

She should have sued David for damages and make him pay for the medial expenses. He was careless. He caused the accident. Even though she didn't have her belt on at time of impact that too because he asked her to pick something from the back seat for him. He should have held responsible for it.
