Does anyone know how to get the large 70t gear out of there? I didn't see an option to buy the whole gear box on my baur so i got the gears but am having trouble getting them out
Will this gearbox fit the now discontinued R4330 planer? The original gearbox is no longer available, but the geometry seems quite similar to this one... I unfortunately can't compare the mounting hole positions. One of the smaller inner gear lost all of its teeth after a bolt came loose and got stuck in the feed roller chain. -_-
@@nathanldaniels It is! I took a chance and ordered the new generation gearbox, and it is fully compatible. Same exact screw locations and drive location, but in a much stronger steel casing. I saved my planer! 😎
I noticed during your video that you lowered the screw left elevation, but you didn't show the process. I need to remove the right screw and replace the elevation nut. To remove the screw to replace the bolt, would you remove the chain so that you can rotate the elevation screw in order to seat the elevation nut?
Do you have any videos on how to replace the half inch belt for the planer blades? Mine just broke today and I can’t find anything on how to do it. Thanks a lot
Probably should mention that you need to pump up the gear assembly with grease before assembly!
Excellent. Very clearly explained. Thank you
This also works for harbor freight/Baur planer. Exactly the same gearbox!

Did you ever confirm this is interchangeable?
