Nice video. I really admire you guys who ride older custom Harleys. The tools, spare parts, and knowledge, needed to keep them running I’m sure is part of the joy you get from riding them. My tool kit consists of, tire gauge, chain lube, a couple of adjustable wrenches, a multi tool, and the large wrenches needed to remove the wheels. I look at older Harley’s all the time, but the most complicated bike repair I’ve ever attempted is fork seals, so probably best I keep riding my 2007 Honda Shadow. My camping gear is similar to yours, but I do have a sleeping pad, and a large cup, spoon, and small canister stove. Mostly just to heat up soup or beans, and to make coffee. I’ve been all over the country, to Mexico and Alaska, but I’ve never had to do any road repairs except lube and adjust the chain tension. I can’t seem to get myself to a rally. I’ve passed through Sturgis few times, but always in the weeks before or after the rally. Too many people I guess. I’m always itching to get out of town after a couple of hours. :)
And plenty of Samson, if you know what I mean". Brother, you know I know what you mean. That new tool roll looks pretty nice. Your setup is about as good as it gets. You are ready, man. Have fun and stay safe. Take some pictures to share with us when you get back. Peace, Erin in Kissimmee.
I always like your videos 👍🏻 I remember when you put your tent up on the demo video.. take special care my southern brother..😎🍻 check back with you later..
Heavy duty music! A long time ago there was a manual called HOW TO KEEP YOUR VOLKSWAGEN ALIVE for air cooled VW’s. I’ve got a copy somewhere. Anyway I was thinking maybe you should consider a manual called HOW TO KEEP YOUR CHOPPER ALIVE! You could go into detail about the various situations you can face and the tools you might need on the road. Just a thought. Great video here. Thanks!
Nice vid. I just picked up the abel brown tent. Hope it serves me well. I'll be taking a route 66 trip next year and i'm gonna do some shakedown runs this year with all the gear.
Very cool vid my man. Awesome setup. I’m realizing I need a lot more than I currently have to confidently ride long distances. I noticed that you have a fuel reserve setup in the back of your bike, assuming it’s connected to the fuel line, how did you set that up??? I currently have a 22 Iron 883. The extra fuel on demand would be nice!!!

@clarson2916 it is a challenge some times on the older bikes. But always worth it. Thanks again for watching

That one's not hooked up. I did connect my fuel reserve on my new build. It's the episode with the fuel pump title.
Very cool channel!
