My first Missouri game was against Colorado way back in 1960.. saw more games.. many good players, and coaches.. best game to be remembered 5th down as Coach Bob Stull and assistant coach Andy Reid ( now Kansas City Chiefs ) were there..and best upset game Mizzou beat ND 3-0 at South Bend. Go Mizzou!!!!
First Mizzou Football I ever saw. 6 or 7. Don't remember much other than when they tore down the goal posts, some dude who was sitting on the cross bar threw up.
I grew up fixing fence in the Fall back in mid 70's listen to Mizzou Football. Just think is Devine didnt leave? Missouri could have been a Powerhouse, those uniforms were tough looking. Loved the Black & "Gold',not "Iowa" yellow of today.
I like Pinkel and this new coach Eliah Drinkwitz but yeah Devine won 70 percent of his games at Mizzou. I like this year’s team alot bright days ahead for Mizzou.
Mizzou has had some great players like Winslow, Wehrli, Wilder, Wright, Smith, Gray and Russell. Some of these players are in the HOF and others were starters on dynastic teams like the 70s Steelers, 80s Niners and 00s Pats. Not bad.
At that time, Mizzou were the only team in the Big Eight that played on Natural Grass while everybody else in the Big Eight was playing on Astroturf. It wasn't until the mid 80's when Mizzou switched to Artificial Turf like the other teams in the Big Eight.

It was a terrible decision. MU always gave Nebraska and OU trouble at home on the grass. It helped negate those teams speed advantage.
Thanks... Good memories.
Thanks for posting this. I remember watching you play, btw.
Powers always had competitive teams. The program descended into the abyss following his departure.
the Larry Smith, Gary Pinkel and Eliah Drinkwitz happened.
Several Network Production Music Library cues here. Among them, 6:34 Hard Drivin'-Craig Palmer and 9:25 Assembly Line.
