First off, they would have won anyway even if they hadn't been there. Case in point, Mcountdown. They didn't show up and still won. Also, since when does kpop give any "handouts," huh? It's a cutthroat industry and if you want to win, you gotta work harder as fans. Second, y'all need to understand that Red Velvet is a group that started from the absolute bottom since their debut, despite being from the "big 3." They didn't have this "instant success" that these brand new 4th gen groups like Itzy, TXT, Izone, etc are having. They debuted in 2014 and didn't even get their first win til 2015 when Yeri joined. They debuted at a horrible time for the company and were met with hate and controversy before they even officially debuted. They didn't have a previous following from a reality show or anything like almost every other group these days is fortunate enough to have, they literally had to build everything for themselves from the bottom. They worked damn hard to be where they are and they deserve to win, too. Hell, they didn't even get any wins for RBB. 5 years into their career and SM still doesn't promote them properly or give them equal touring/promotion opportunities as their boy groups. (The Reve Festival Day 2 got a week notice to preorder. SuperM just opened their preorder today and they don't debut til October. See the difference?) Let this prove to you all that you can't win based on views alone. Physicals and digitals make up the majority of the criteria for these music award shows, not views/sns, so you gotta step it up to buy their albums and the song digitally, too. Humble yourselves. They'll get there with time.

EG has over 23 million more views than Red Velvet, but RV has MUCH higher sales. RV has already sold over 50,000 copies with their latest album, while EG only sold 5,837 as of Aug 24th. For example, it'll be the same if BlackPink has 100 million views on UA-cam, but sold only like 7,000 albums. Even if EG went up against Rocket Punch they still wouldn't win because RCPC is actually outselling them on Hanteo daily charts despite coming out a week before EG; Aug 24th Hanteo sales record: RCPC & EG: 421 (9,880 total) to 285 (5,837 total). As much as I like EG, this is the reason why I believe that Everglow won't win Rookie of the Year. I believe that Itzy and RCPC are both going to win ROTY awards, in my opinion.

Love the choreo, the energy, the rappers, their expression. I'm new and not even apart of the fandom. I only watch K-pop without being in any fandom. I just listen to whatever I think is nice . This song is better among the songs that are nominated in the music show right now.

This is an amazing first comeback by EVERGLOW. Adios is an amazing song. It's one of the best songs of 2019. It's cool they were nominated. During their debut I didn't think I would ever develop an interest in them, since I wasn't a big fan of their song back then, but now I think I'm falling for them. 😍

Seriously this happens with EVERY NEW GROUP (except for Itzy because Itzy has been hyped up since pre-debut) stop attacking RV. It happened with (G)-Idle with their recent comeback (they almost didn't recieved a win). For me it was a bad time for this comeback since both comebacks happened the same day. Since is a voting poll the biggest fan base wins that's it.
Itzy had twice. The fans support them just because their twice sister group. That's why its frustrating to fans when the big 3 privilege comes into play. Other rookies dont get that.

1. They often mock big 3 ggs
