  • I was working for about an hour with the 10-305 band saw and afterwards, the blade was almost off the bottom wheel but the top wheel was tracking fine. I go over the Rikon 10-305 10" band saw and adjusting the lower wheel (even though everyone tells me not too). Also give some opinions on setting it up and using it.

Tour video helped me solve a 2 year problem with my bandsaw! I have an Elektra Beckum BAS315 which has basically got the same construction. It kept popping off the blade and now I’ve set both wheels at approx 90 degrees and shimmed the motor a bit because the pulley was touching the bottom wheel. It is finally running true!

Got my saw yesterday, and it had the same tracking problem. Followed the directions in the book (same as what you said they were) and my blade tracks perfectly now.

you just explained my exact problem with the Wen. its frustrating, i spent more time tuning then cutting and enjoying the saw.

I've got the same issue! Mine's a Scheppach but I can tell it's the exact same saw. I'm going to fix it up tomorrow hopefully.

Thanks for the video. I bought a used Craftsman 351.214000 which is the same saw. Having same issue with bottom wheel. The bearings were shot and had a really hard time pressing in new bearings. Bottom wheel was way off visibly crooked. Currently waiting on Blue Max tires. Already polished table and replaced guide bearings and wheel bearings. Also replaced drive belt. This bottom wheel issue seems not fun, maybe after full refurbish I should sell it as it looks brand new. I would love the entry model Grizzly but hard to justify 800 bucks.

Keep playing with it, you will get it correct. Adjust Tension where when you push on blade in moves about 1/4". I have the 10-3061 and love it. I enjoyed the video.

Listen up, this is the easiest way to do it: take the blade and the cutting platform off. Put a straight edge across the bottom wheel vertically so it (could) also touch the top wheel. Adjust the top and bottom screws on the back until you get the straight edge to touch all 3 surfaces and just like that your blade will run right in the center of the wheel.

Do you have a friend thats just a little bit handy? Call him let him read the manual. This is a very simple idea its just a pivot point make small adjustments on bottom aline top check bottom make more adjustments Intel perfect. thats it good luck hope you get it.
