The old one has a creepier face in my opinion
I personally like the new more, it looks more realistic in a weird way idk how to explain it

The motor of the new one is realy silent
I’m not a fan of the paint of the newer one BUT the quality is so greatly improved and it looks a lot larger. I also like how it stops when it gets at full height.

Old:
1. Its grungier look
2. Its face
3. Its stance
New:
1. Its durability
2. Its height
3. Its ethereal look
4. Its quieter mech
5. Its loud speaker
What I like about the old one is that the clothing is more longer so it doesn’t expose the base so much
the new one is way better, for starters the mechanism when she goes up is better, and when going down she doesn’t wobble like the old one! and for height the new ones is better, but the old one is so nostalgic lol
I am very happy that the new one is better quality, but I feel like there is just something about the old one that makes it so much more creepy but I don’t know why.

Most likely the detail on the face is whats making it stand out, its kind of a shame that most flashback props dont get enough/the same amount of detail as their previous counterpart

The old one is more creepy, because the face has more detail and the arms actually cross, making you wonder why she is doing it. It also looks like she rises more in the old version giving it a more eerie look. The new on is alot higher quality though, but they could of made the new one look more creepy if they tried a bit more.

If they remade it with the starting posture of the older one, use all the details and durability of the newer one, but with the main height and extra details + sfx from the 2023 one then it would be amazing

Excellent!!!! I loved the concept of the old one, but could not stand the clacking mouth. I gave it away. Excited when I saw they were selling a new version, but unsure if it’s mouth would clack also. Looked forward to seeing your comparison video- it did not disappoint! Off to purchase the new one. The new one wins by far
Thank You for the great video. I was hoping someone would have both and be able to do this. On another note, while watching the video, I noticed that the original has the same string mech as the rising reaper prop I have. The string on mine was fraying and I was going to replace it but then I couldn’t figure out how to get it back on. Would you possibly be able to take some close up pics of how the string is attached at the two points? If you could help it would be much appreciated but If you have already packed them back up then don’t worry about it. Thank You!
I already packed her up, I'm sorry, but you may be able to find other videos of any of the other svi rising props and use them for help. They all use the same string mech besides the 2023 rising doll

I Ike how the old ones mouth blends in more. The new one it’s very easy to see the mouth opening.
The new one is about the only Spirit 2023 prop I don’t have yet. The old one may still be available on EBay but probably super expensive.
Yay new one is even better! Just ordered one with the 20% off coupon! The rising mech is quieter as well. And SMALLER BOX makes all of the difference!
I like the new one more but the old one if creepier
I remember one of the main issues with the old one was that sometimes one of the wires in the back would get caught while rising and cause a loud snapping noise that scared the hell out of people 😂

The point of the old one being smaller to start off is so it appears more like an innocent child. People didn’t like that it didn’t stop at the top tho so they made it start higher so it had time to stop at the top

I think I said this before the only true difference I think matters is that the old one has a creepy hutch and opens her arms as she goes up.
