We could be a lot better if our government was smaller, more efficient and less constricting. They’re really good at creating public sector jobs, creating new taxes and over-regulating the economy, but not much else.
I think South Africa should help develop the neighbouring countries for it to continue growing if all the neighbouring countries had a gdp of 100B dollars the South Africa GDP would be around a trillion
Fact that we are the most industrialised African country and most developed yet high unemployment will lower population than Egypt with high GDP than Egypt, this could only mean SA is hiring alot of foreigners
You don't even understand tu that south African economy is growing tremendously since they formed coalition government 😅 now petrol is very low but also the currency is gain its momentum right now 😂
SA🇿🇦 needs to undergo a radical economic transformation, that includes land redistribution (from colonial settler class, whites)to its original owners, black SAns🇿🇦
I disagree, fixing the past will cost us our future, look at American Indians and Black Americans for instance. We do not need to radically transform our economy, rather we need to ammend our labour laws. We need less socialism and more controlled capitalism. What we need is not a wealth transfer, but wealth manufacturing. The more we grow our middle class, the less we will need BBBEE, DEI and quotas. Yes the land is an issue, rather than aquiring more of it, let's learn to use the land we have, then we can consider reclaiming our land, both from the government and tradition leaders. The last thing we need is to be the next Zimbabwe
@@BrotherTshepang LOL, you Neo-liberal shill, good luck with your "wealth manufacturing" whist the the capital for investment all lies with European settlers who consider a minimum wage of R4000 a gross offence
No it does not need redistribution. Singapore rebuilt itself from colonization without reparations from the UK and we sure as hell can too. If you can't build your own wealth, you'll just squander what people give you.
Corruption and State Capture was probably the biggest issue since 2009. We are slowly recovering.
I would argue those issues have been existing since 1909

Zuma was one of the causes
of downfall of a z South africa 😢😢
I'll say right off the bat, Jacob Zuma and Cyril Ramaphosa are the economy's biggest problem.
Anc is the problem for everything we struggle with in SA.
May God continue 🙏 to bless 🙌 🙏 the Republic of South Africa 🇿🇦 and its people.
Inequality inequality inequality!!! The biggest problem in our country.
We are fixing our country slowing, now tell me what's happening in the rest of Africa
They're all running to South Africa
I think South Africa should help develop the neighbouring countries for it to continue growing if all the neighbouring countries had a gdp of 100B dollars the South Africa GDP would be around a trillion
They banning SA imports eg Botswana and Namibia. They avoiding SA ports eg,Lobito corridor and bots zim moz railway,
Fact that we are the most industrialised African country and most developed yet high unemployment will lower population than Egypt with high GDP than Egypt, this could only mean SA is hiring alot of foreigners
Imagine if the gov could collect tax from 10 million "visitors"
check your notes everthing is getting better even the world bank says so

No it doesn't need to become a more free market economy if you give unskilled people land it won't be of much use look at Zimbabwe
Dream on. Won't happen
Lols south africa economy is on the rises
By 0,6% last year?
That's not enough
