Honestly, that water drop notch isn't nearly as bad as the George Jefferson notch on the iPhones. I recently looked at an iPhone SE 2022 and in addition to the movin' on up notch, it also has the ugly letterbox screen too. So while budget android water drop notches aren't ideal, there are worse options. And this A34 5g will likely be a much better device for the price than even the A54. There's no excuse for Exynos in 2023 in any phone.
Hi, I'm torn between this device and the A54 5g. What do you think of the dimensity 1080 chipset? The A54 has Exynos 1380 I believe. Which do you feel is better? I could probably get either phone but I just want one with a decent chipset that will last longer than 2 or 3 years. I love the screen size and matte finish. I also like the A54 but it has a smaller screen and a shiny back. The drop notch I could probably live with although like everyone wish us was the punch hole. I'm not a gamer or heavy camera user. Would just like your opinion on which device is worth getting. Thanks for a great informative video!!

Can you copy text from photos you have taken? 3. Are the speakers loud & clear enough w/ no distortion on high volumes? 4. Is the GPS /network signal pickup good enough? (Quick to find network?) 5. Does it support up to 4K/60 video in UA-cam? 6. Multitasking and opening of apps any good? No signs crashes or slowdowns? 7. Would you say skin tones, foliage & white balance are good, could be better or is great? 8. Any Day 1 updates that Samsung pushed to your device? I have a OnePlus 7T and a Galaxy A33 before. Should I get the A33 5G or A34 5G? The A34 is more expensive. Is it worth paying the extra money, or you think there's not too much of a difference to spend that extra money, and rather get A33 5G?
Using a34 in the usa. It will only work off tmobile & tmobile mvno's. It is missing band n71, so in the usa, you wont get blazing 5g speeds. Tops off around 120mbps in big citys. My biggest concern is will Samsung give the updates ( 6.0 , android 14 +) promised to US users. Paid $229 new in box on ebay.

a54 has the same bezel thickness as a34. the cpu+gpu performance for now is only 10-20% difference between them. the notch doesn't make it less powerful, but make it a little bit outdated (according to most people). i think the notch is still fine when you realize that iphones have those jumbo "outdated" notch and they sell it for 4 digits and no one complained about it lmao
Got this in graphite with the free stirage upgrade and power brick for the same price as the 128gb variant. I will not get any chinese android ui phone, not gonna trust them with my infos.
Problem with the s series phones is the batterys suck. I have 2 s20fe the phone itself is great but it can't be great for long if the battery don't last. I have a work phone a m31 with a 6000mah battery that last 2 days but the s series just last 6 to 8 hours

I'm currently using the a33, but one thing I like about the a34 is the chipset and 6..6 amoled display

I got the a33 one day after the a34 released it pisses me off but i prefer the design of the a33

Have you considered the S21 FE? It's a better device than both of these and can be found for around the same price of the A54

I think samsung adds more bezels and uses a water drop notch to A30ish series, especially to make it less powerful than A50ish series imo.
