Say this once and I'll keep on sayin' it...The NYC EUC crew are just plain nuts when it comes to riding (in a good way). Weaving through traffic is one thing but do it in NY at those speeds is plain crazy. Ride safe, ride hard mate. Keep up the stellar work!

I like that it's more aerodynamic than the OneR, I already have the OneR but this is a nice upgrade to the OneX it looks like
I am considering the Insta360 ONE R Twin Edition action bundle. Buy extra battery etc. to "make" two separate camera's.
The action camera I will mount on my left shoulder or on my EUC. The 360 on a stick.

I currently do not own a 360 camera, but I think this is the one I will purchase.
Don't waste your money..
Camera is Fantastic but the transferring process and in app editing sucks. Takes more than 2 hrs to edit and transfer a 2gb video files.
@@thkvideos2405 I use an SD adapter, plug it into the laptop and transfer is at least 100MB/s with an A2 V30 microSD card so it's pretty great I'd say.

I can't remember how I stumbled across your channel, but initially I watched because the 360 footage looked so good (as in way better than mine lol) but then watched the rest because I wanted to see what this EUC thing was. It sounds like you're in post production for a living and I imagine that it's years of practice that lead up to how great your Insta360 footage looks. The camera nerd in me would love to see a follow up video showing your work flow.

I switched from the X to the R and now
I’m still deciding whether to switch back
I’m using the R because it’s more versatile. Very easy to switch among different lenses.

@@evXNYC I'm between buying the x2 and the R with 360 and 1in sensor combo... in your experience, for creative shots to add to my professional video gigs / events / promo stuff.. which would you recommend? why do you prefer the x2? thanks!
I prefer the X2 for action sports mainly due to the form factor and weight. Plus the image is noticeably better now. But the ONE R might better suited for you in your use case due to versatility and larger sensor. Bit if you need like actual professional 360... insta makes a professional line of cameras. I’d buy or rent those for your gigs. This is more for weekend warriors and silly youtubers like me.
Thanks so much for this. I’m a pretty new EUC rider and have been using my phone to get riding shots, which end up so shaky (and is also pretty dangerous on the NYC streets). Your footage looks amazing!!

I shot everything in LOG on the X2. I am a colorist for my day job lol so yes, there's post color-grading happening. Best of luck with your new beast! it's worth every penny.
You need a longer stick ;-) Hey, nice review Mickey. I almost bought one but I just bought another X because I have to hang it off my 9-foot pole so weight is everything :-) A couple quick questions:
The first third of the video; did you shoot that in LOG or ???
At 2:57 you've switched to a different camera, right?
I shoot all my 360 footage in LOG. Yes at 2:57 that’s my mirrorless camera.

Like the peace sign on your hand. Im new rider as well (2 weeks) and going down on a bridge to manhattan or riding bike lanes was quite tricky and sometimes scary. You guys make riding look so easy at speed. Hope pads for v11 will come out soon, need grip. Was looking at insta360, but need to get more confident first to ride with it.
The Russians made pads for the v11. Real leather.

@@evXNYC thanks ordered a set of leather pads. Could you tell what method you used to attach it to the saddle part when you had the wheel? Will velcro work or not strong enough?
Large velcro strips. Make it wider than you think, that way you can adjust.
Very interesting video Mickey. I’ve been thinking about a Insta360 for a while. Using a gopro off a 1M selfie stick that feels like holding a dumbbell at arms length.

Great vid quality and colors looks great. What settings did you use for Video? Vivid or HDR video recording? Or post-process color graded after?
I shoot in LOG, then colored it in post.
@@evXNYC Log really does protect the highlights and shadows a lot too.
@@evXNYC How do you find the HDR is? I've seen good results but only in Very Sunny days for the One R
I never mess with camera manufacturers idea of hdr lol. It’s always electric in a bad way.
@@evXNYC What they should really do is HDR but in LOG mode for the double exposure TBH. Now that would be insane! :D
And way better control on your video output HDR look.

Much better than the MAX in everyday conditions. Max might have slight advantage at night.

I use their native studio program on my desktop. Then export the video out 16x9, then bring it into premiere. Now you can use their footage natively in premiere, but it’s a tad bit clunky. I’d rather do it in their native program.

I have insta 360x but I can’t get the panorama view if you check my last videos I’m placing them at 9/16 so my unicycle can be seen when I ride if I place it at 16/9 I’m seen only from very close.
Maybe issue is that I don’t have insta 360 official selfie stick?

What are your thoughts on the one X2 taking a tumble, what are you doing to protect yours?
It’ll take a hit real well, but i do recommend you getting the premium lens guards that are hitting the market very soon.
Is the view selected by the vlogger in editing and then uploaded?
Or can the viewer change the view angles themselves as they are watching?
Some vids on youtube lets the viewer scroll around the 360 view as it is playing.
NY riders are fearless in riding amongst cars at high speeds, and on the freeway. Very surprising.

I use 360 video in a unique way. I choose my angles in editing and use it more like traditional video. However if you are only using 360 video, you can upload it raw to the internet and then the viewer can choose where to look.
No. Its not. Its ok. have the Max and received this last month for bday. Max is better and software kills this one.

Worst camera while transferring the files to the phone 2 videos of around 2gb will take 2 hrs...
