I have revalved AER 21+, 6500s, and now these and love them. On my 250xc and 450xcf I am using donor cartridges from a 2016 yz250f on the 250 with .44 springs, and 2021 250f carts with .48 on my 450. Love this setup!

You prefer these over the 6500?

@@tylertaber114 For offroad yeah. My 6500s don't have the comfort in the midvalves that my kybs do but do everything else really well.

It may be worth doing a little research on fork tube diameters at the triple clamps. You may be able to fit a set of 2021+ XACT fork tubes and upgrade them to the KYB spring system.
Another possibility is to install the entire front end, if the triple clamps and steering bearings are compatible with your frame.

Would it be any different for a 2019 aer fork?

The kits to fit 2016.5 to 2020 AER-48 WP forks will be available very soon. They are next on the CNC machines and I am currently assembling a set of forks for a final Prototype test session tomorrow.

No need to bleed the fork after installing the oil?

    • @DialedMfg

It's best to release built up air from the bleed screw at the track just before each ride.
It wouldn't hurt to open the bleed screw after assembly, but there won't be much pressure in the outer chamber at that time.
