Thanks for putting it out here, I was there and I still can't believe it! So much drums! And for the record, on this video it's Joshua Bruneau on trumpet . . .
@@gerardmccaffery2539 You needed better shots of Joe Farnsworth. And a better photographing position where people didn't pass in front of the camera. (Maybe a second photographer?)
KW got the Chicken!!Both made great statements to my jaded ears,But KW told a story that was very DEEP...SO MUSICAL!!HISTORY presented for all of us to marvel at and learn from..Check out KW with Johnny Griffin on a live Video(Produced by Ben Sidran)With Ray Drummond and I think Ronnie Mathews..BEYOND BRILLIANT!!JF also was enjoyable as he has spend many years performing and perfecting his chops..However,what KW presented was so much more musical..Again he told a great story and I so enjoyed this post!!Both artists gave us plenty to enjoy!!Canopus Drums sounded great!!
I'm a big Joe Farnsworth fan as well. He makes them talk! Have you seen him in the movie "Motherless Brooklyn"? Just in the background as a drummer to so somewhat Miles Davis but great to see him.
Great drumming, but the video is spoiled by (1) the photographer's apparent inability to move, like he's rooted to that one spot; and people passing in front him every five seconds (or so it seems). Why couldn't the photographer couldn't arrange to keep that from happening? What was preventing him?
Yeh ok, joe, there is actually a gig to play. Nice and neat, but there was no need to go on that long in the solo and without hardly any variation. Rude to be honest.
THE GREATEST TWO LIVING JAZZ DRUMMERS!
What a great conversation between 2 masters at the art of drumming!
It's a battle man, they hate each other

I was just there as a customer who loves listening to live jazz. You saw what I saw and heard what I heard!
Both sounding fantastic!
So glad they've been doing these! Thanks for posting the greatness :-)
INCREDIBLE ❤️
Both of these cats played at Smoke on a regular basis. What a crazy session! 🤎🥁
Always loved me some jazz maniac.
These guys are ON FIRE!

That's true. I was just a regular at SMOKE just having dinner and some drinks that night and watching a great performance. You saw my view! :)

Joe for the musical win here but let’s not make it a competition. RIP Harold Mabern
