I’m super surprised the inside lining of the 1987 version is still intact that’s impressive. Some of the pieces from the early 2000s have already started cracking and disintegrating
1987 is close to the year I began to buy Luxury. I think my vintage pieces are well and carefully made to stand the test of time. Many of the brand name Luxury items now are sourced out to China, and France adds a label. Lots of money for much less quality. Love vintage luxury.
Thanks so much for sharing! You really can’t beat vintage pieces. The quality is amazing and such better prices compared to new releases. It’s crazy to see how much prices have gone up!! Enjoy your beautiful vintage bags. ❤️
That was such an interesting comparison! It inspired me to pull out my pochette accessoire that I bought in 2001. I wore it everyday for about 1-2 years straight and the canvas shows no wear and tear! The only wear and tear is where the zipper pull connects to the zipper and the coating has chipped off and of course the varchetta strap and tab has patina. I didn't think my canvas felt thicker than the toilet trio canvas but might have to do with the wipeable lining being more substantial. The one thing I noticed was the canvas on my pochette is more of a shiny finish vs toiletry which has a matt finish. And the colour of the stitches chocolate brown (pochette) vs darker brown (toiletry).
Amazing how well this 40 yo toiletry has held up over the years. I also noticed, and like, how the logos on the canvas appear to be more vibrant. I love my '24 trio pouches and have never had a problem with them standing up.
I have a LV bag from the early 90’s. I love using that bag over LV bags I have purchased over the last 10 years. You cannot compare the quality of the canvas & lining! The newer bags use thinner canvas & thinner material for the lining. It is obvious sitting side by side. For what they now charge, I wish they would only use higher quality materials.
Not to be nosy but how are you using that large pouch, for toiletries at home (are those your creams/cleansers and where do you keep it…bathroom or bedroom? Like on your vanity? I bought the new trio and literally can’t figure out what to use the large one for. I do have the 19 on my dresser holding my extra lipsticks and 15 in my bag as my cosmetic pouch. Thx!
Hey! Not nosy at all - that’s a great question! I’m using it on my bathroom vanity right now, but I will also use it for traveling. I like it for larger bottles like lotions and serums. It’s also great for larger items like sheet masks!
@@LulaWestLuxe thank you! Ok, I will use it like that also. I’m actually traveling out of state tomorrow and am not taking it. I did not get an organizer and am afraid of something spilling. So for now I will use standing up on display like you!
I enjoyed the comparison of vintage and current LV toiletries pouches but it is not valid to compare a Strathberry bag with an LV one that costs 5 times the price.
Were you surprised by any aspects of this quality comparison? 🤔 As always, please LIKE 👍 this video if you enjoyed it! ❤🤗

How much did you pay for the trousse 23? It’s in beautiful condition
Thanks! I bought it from Rebecca Bee Luxury on Instagram and paid $400.
so so beautiful miss Lula
Thank you! Have a great weekend 🤗🥰
I have addresses the quality issue ny buying current LV bags in leather, and my canvas bags are all vintage. I hate paying more for less.
That’s an excellent way to do it!! ❤️
The vintage looks robust! Now I will be looking for one.😅
Yes, definitely!! So well made and you can find it at much better prices compared to the new releases!

I'm a FoLV forever ❣️🥰❣️❤
