@@Smile.with.me12110 no, a mutant is anybody born with the x-gene. The X-Men is a team that mostly consists of mutants, but Spider-Man has been on the team before. It’s literally in the comics

Spider-Man and the X-Men 6 issue run from 2014-2015 he joins the X-Men
I disagree with you just because they have a one-off series does not make him a remember of the team.
