    I use the Opus preamp into my Eventide H9 Max and out of the Eventide into a CabM and it sounds really good and gives me endless options for tone shaping in just three small units.

    Hi, I just got the Opus and gigged it for the first time yesterday. It sounded pretty (actually quite unbelievably) amazing for a first try, sending the signal straight to the PA. Now I'm a bit of a noob in this realm, so here's my question: I would like to be able to use a simple midi controller to bank up and down my presets, to use it sort of as a channel switcher. I thought I would simply get a small, two button 'pedal' (left button to bank up, right button to bank down). Which midi-controller would you recommend I should use for that purpose? Thanks in advance.

    Well explained sir. I wish you could explain more about amp-cab-load box situation. Will I be able to connect OPUS straight to any cabinet (any power)?

    Just came across your channel and really loved your video. Probably the best I’ve seen on the Opus so far. Very well explained and killer playing. Well done.

      Quick question. Can you disable the preamps and still use the power amp and cabs? I want to use my own preamp on my Bluguitar Amp1 and send my L stereo signal from my HX effects to the Opus and then to the sound board and the R effect send to the Amp 1 return and a miced cab on stage.

      @@dr.gregoryweisswassernd7251 You certainly can! Every DSP-powered processing block in OPUS can be disabled making this adaptable across virtually any rig! Let us know if you have any other questions!

      Yes, you can disable the preamps and only use the power amp + cabs!

      Hello, Greetings!
      I'm planning on a pedalboard for Extreme Metal and was wondering if I ca. Use 2 preamp pedals into 2 opus as I'm a single guitarist.
      MORLEY WAH->MORLEY TUNER-> DIGITECH BAD MONKEY OVERDRIVE ->KSR Ceres( 2 Preamp pedals)-> EITHER BOSS MS3 OR LINE 6 HX EFFECTS ->OPUS(2 OF THEM)
      We're moving from 2 guitarists to a single guitarist and I do not want to compromise on sound and hence wanted the best stereo kind of approach in budget.
      What would you suggest be the signal path for this? As per my understanding, preamp pedal->one opus and connecting the output of that opus device into input of second opus device, we can achieve wider stereo image. As each opus can process a mono signal, how would I be able to route and send separate output signals to FOH?
      Also, What routing options from Global settings is recommended for this set up?

    • @RossDaviesTwoNotes
      @RossDaviesTwoNotes 3 місяці тому

      @@ajayburra6958 I hope all is well and thanks for getting in touch. In this instance, if you are using the HX FX, this has a stereo output so you can simply connect your Left Output to one OPUS and your Right Output to a secondary OPUS. You would then line both XLR outs of the 2 OPUS devices to your mixing desk for a true Stereo signal. In terms of routing, you shouldn't need to do anything in this instance.
      Let me know if this helps and I look forward to hearing from you soon!

    I wished it has an effects loop.....ah well....my waiting game, continues....

    • @lemaestrodesart2222
      @lemaestrodesart2222 7 місяців тому +5

      An effect loop in a mono pedal is not the best option. IMO This unit is meant to be inserted in your pedalboard where you have your space effects after and mod and OD (up to you) before. You can even use it in the loop effect of an HxStomp to replace its amp/cab combinations. We always ask for more and we forget the incredible performance of these pedals for a price that was unthinkable a few years ago. Waiting too long, we see the new releases pass hopping fore more in the next ones which means always wait.

      @@lemaestrodesart2222 I respect very much yr opinion but i have to beg to differ. This pedal is meant to be an amp & cab in a box emulation. An actual amp (most of it) has an effects loop). I like to have my "DRY" sounds (comp, drives, boosts, etc) before an amp while the "WET" effects after the amp & before the cab. So, i would like to use any Amp/cab in box pedal with exactly like how i would set it up with a real amp/cab cause it just sounds better to my ears (off course this is not a hard rule to follow) & many guitar players approaches this method (although not all off course). I'm not saying i am right but its just my preference. With the setup that u mentioned above (not the one using it in the HX Stomp's fx loop), i can only use it for direct to PA/Recording only. In my sitiuation, i often send 2 separate signal from my pedalboard, one with the effects, the amp sim & cab sim to the PA system & the other one with the effects & amp sim only, sent to a guitar amp's effects Return for my "blowing into my feet sensation" stage sound, & this is the common scenario in almost all of my live performances. Again, this is just my preference. Currently, i can do this with my NuX Amp Academy, which has 12 amp, 12 cab/IRs, a few drives/boost, a graphic EQ, a noise suppresor, a couple of Reverb, compresors & Effects Loop, plus a separate DI output (on XLR) with the cab sim & a 1/4" output, with or without the Cab sim (there's toggle switch to On or Off the Cab sim for this 1/4" output, which i put it Off mode). And u can re-arrange those "blocks" in the Amp Academy's signal chain. And oh, it sounds great. But i was hoping to find something even better than the Nux Amp Academy just because i can go even a higher level of quality. I am in no way saying the Opus is bad or anything negative about it, its just not what i am looking for, that all. Anyway, again, i highly respect yr opinion & i am very sure the Opus is a God Send pedal for you & many, many others. I hope i am not offending you with this reply....my apologies for this lengthy response.. .🙏🙏🙏 BTW, my pedalboard consist of the Boss MS3 (for my "wet" fxs & as my loop/MIDI switcher), A Strymon Riverside drive pedal (MIDIed to the MS3 so i can recall the Riverside's presets), a Vox Valvenergy Cutting Edge high gain pedal & a Blackstar Dept 10's Boost....the pedalboard is Pedaltrain Metro Max with Strymon Ojai R30 powering the pedals....😀

      Whenever I see stuff like “I wish it had an effects loop” on the Two Notes or the Tonex just don’t get it. Just use the 1/4” out into your stereo effects unit and get a stereo XLR like the one from Walrus Audio. Or run it into your modeler with the stereo outs. You can use the OPUS DI for dry and your stereo effects unit for a W/D/W.
      Wet effects sound better after the speaker anyway like they do it in the studio. No benefit to having it between the preamp/speaker. That is just necessary when you need to in a real life setup where you can’t do post.

    • @kveecock
      @kveecock 7 місяців тому +1

      Absolutely agree. And my current set up is exactly the same as yours; amp academy out to mixing desk via DI and line to return of amp as monitor. It works and has an effects loop but, like you, I’m looking for the improved sound that the opus offers but with an effects loop. If they included a couple of delays and a couple of other time based effects in the next firmware upgrade then no effects loop needed!

    The Opus looks good , but until more preamp tones are available , the Tone X looks to be better. For captures however The Opus is better as it doesn't need another box
