when i first listened to this song, i just thought it was about being sad as a celebrity. but then a closer listen resonated with me the same feelings I know all too well: the dream of ending your life because you feel overwhelmed. and your friends may not always know what to say at the time, but real friends will be there, as quiet as ever, but they are there. and that silent presence proves that someone wants you here.

@@AndresCintra lol would you like to see my vocal chain setting? literally everybody uses pitch correction on their chain. and by literally, i mean literally. and i’ll be honest, listening back more, i think i just had the setting higher than is usually do and not paying attention. and it kinda irks me. but to say my voice is flat out auto tuned lol. trust me, i thought auto tune could save my voice years ago. it just made it sound corny. i’ve been to vocal coaching, went through daily vocal exercises, watched a gang of tutorials, etc lol. auto tune ain’t gone get you this kinda tone homie. and pitch correction don’t work if you can’t sing.

I keep coming back to this. One of Billie's best songs, and Joseph's version is incredible.
