I am really happy I watched this. I have been a Macca fan for a very long time... privileged that a mate of mine brought me a signed Team Macca t-shirt from Kona. My 13 year old daughter now wears it. As a South African I have balso been a huge Raynard Tissink fan. I agree with all Macca say and I understand him.
Macca has been misunderstood by the "Triathlon Industry" for decades and that is because he was one of the few who wasn't afraid to challenge others views and be blunt about everything. This was never done with malice but with the enthusiasm of one of the brightest Triathlon minds I have ever met in the nearly 40 years I have been in the sport. Macca's opinions come from a deep knowledge of the sport at every level and many can't deal with that.I have hung out with Macca and several other Triathlon World Champions and many of the worlds top Triathlon commentators and very,very few hold a candle to Macca's passion and knowledge. A lot of the misunderstanding comes from cultural differences as well, as being an Aussie ( with Kiwi heritage ) means he looks at the world differently to the Nth American and Euro media. I put him in the same box as some of the most intimidating (and intelligent) triathlon characters I have ever met and they are,among others, Jo Lawn,Belinda Granger,Tara-Lee Marshall,Erin Baker,Bryan Rhodes,Brendon Downey,Kevin Cutjar and what do they have in common? They all come from a part of the world where people tend to say it the way it is without self censoring. Much respect to someone who I consider one of the most powerful and self made men in the sport of Triathlon worldwide.

I love Macca. Triathlon has lost its characters.
