I seriously wouldn't have minded a direct copy of mechanics, since they're what made the other two games great. The game could've just had its own little twists we could go back to, like what L4D2 was to L4D1.
I think that's the main problem of the game were it tried to hard to left 4 dead but no game could be left 4 dead. You can be similar but not the same. I think if devs announced "this game borrows elements from left 4 dead but is different from how it looks, and plays" the game would have had a better chance
Personally I'd have loved it more if they at least had a gamemode that tried to mirror the original's pure skill roguelike feel. One where someone doesn't have to put up with the game being so RNG heavy on modifiers and perks that it's as if there's zero point even trying to get good when one can get lucky.

@@contra7631 I personally don't see the big deal of Left 4 Dead over Back 4 Blood, they're both practically the same except one has ADS and Game Progression while the other is more of an Arcade game, the Versus mode was awesome though, but I think mods is the only thing that keep Left 4 Dead alive for so long, not its core content, I do think Left 4 Dead is good mind, put a lot of hours in, but I prefer Back 4 Blood because it has more to do and a progression system.
Fun Fact: That discontinued Roblox campaign is now fully realized and available in the Left 4 Dead 2 workshop: It's called 'Cold Front', and I can tell you that if you get the chance, you're going to really enjoy it! Give it a try some time. :)

Another problem B4B had is the lack of immersion: it was impossible to believe any of those "characters" could survive in a zombie apocalypse at all, and all they said were Marvel-style quips or wisecracks that got really old and grating to the ears.
DRG is solid gameplay for sure, but it totally suffers from the same "games as a service" problems as Back4Blood. It's definitely at it's best just playing the game and ignoring the bloat season pass stuff.
I liked back 4 blood alot more before you started with your entire deck, it forced you to pick cards to counter whatever modifiers the AI threw at you and build your deck accordingly for higher difficulties
I *kind* of liked it since it's a bit more accessible and less annoying, the game was hard enough. But I imagine they did this because the levels were just too short, I remember you got your deck back gradually level by level, right?

the game could be saved if the developers could have 2 more brain cells to fix the main problems, they could fix the game with : 1. modified the price of the game and editions, 30 dollars for the normal edition but $90 for the deluxe, they could put these prices to be affordable = Normal Edition:$14.99 - Deluxe Edition $ $39.99 - Ultimate Edition $59.99 2. Allow the Steam Workshop, since they could not think of new weapons or maps or campaign, they could let modders do that work to bring back 4 Blood a new fresh of air with new content 3. Fix Bugs 4. improve the game with some touches, like some new mechanics, UI, etc.
back 4 bloods improvements and gameplay tweaks were great, but gameplay wise it lacked weight and intensity. To this day I would have fun playing this strictly because it's not an easy game, it can be really tough sometimes but the teamwork and random modifiers is what keeps me interested. And One thing that I can't unsee is the way the characters hold the Glock,,,,, their hand is not high enough on the grip 🤢😂.
Yooo this game is fun af. I almost didn't buy it then I was like. I do need a zombie game for PS5. The best things about this game are, that you can customize, matchmaking/crossplay (can join in game), when host leaves you can stay, gameplay fun, PVP, lobby waiting area, characters beautiful, no lag feels great, & fast pace ( depending on your build ). THE FLAWS: Creating decks (People are usually lazy & dumb, so they won't understand that CREATING A DECK IS KINDA MANDATORY & Only are good for anything with a HEAL option on Kill/ For that I wouldn't mind it TOOKEN OUT THE GAME), Having to wait for people to load in the game, Cutscene leave me CLUELESS 😂 (still til this day don't know what the story is about), Dry... The game just seems dead 😂 IDK why, & last I feel it NEEDS MORE CHARACTERS & let us use the same characters, because everybody keep fighting for Jill Valentine (Karlee). Ngl B4B is a pretty good addon to Left 4 Dead. As a whole game, this shit sucks. The roblox version is kinda good, but it's very laggy and heavily relays on your ping. Bad ping = no zombies shove nuh uh
If your interested about why left 2 die got discontinued its because fezezan (i think thats his name) got bored of l2d or something, he then switches from l2d into devloping another zombie game calles guts and blackpowder which is liike a zombie game set during the napolean age or whatever, also the defib is in l2d and l2d was in devlopment for a long time, they focus on infected scripting and mechanics so they only released 2 campaigns and 2 survival maps, AI (on roblox) is very hard to make.

honestly i viewed it differently from l4d and as they were updating it , it was getting better slowly , but then they changed the card system so that all your cards are given at the start and then proceeded to cancel further development . i had about 100 or so hours on it and out of that id say only maybe 30 were fun but thats because i had friends . turtlerock should shutter (edited to say that having all the characters do nothing but spout one liners like a marvel movie was the most fucking annoying unbearable shit ever) (another edit to mention i forgot they had like sentient zombies that was fucking ass)

I hate that so many people shit on B4B I understand the game had some major problems with its requiring certain types of data collections, and that's not okay at all. And the Simi mid story. But the game play had a solid foundation that was honestly insainly fun to play with friends. And everyone who says valve carried L4D is nuts. MODDING carried L4D not valve valve, made the game fixed the bugs for the most part, then stopped updating it for almost 10 years. The only thing valve did for l4d was give it mod suport. If B4B hadn't been bought out by Chinese freaks who steal people's data, gave the game mod suport and fixed the damn game issues and actually balanced the cards properly rather then breaking the ones people loved the game would have been amazing. And people NEED to stop comparing EVERY horde shooter to L4D I get it l4d is amazing it is THE horde shooter. BUT not every darn horde shooter has to PLAY like l4d people need to start looking at these game not as a "clone" of l4d BUT AS ITS OWN GAME. WWZ got nuked with "l4d rip off" when in reality IT WAS AN INSAINLY GOOD FREAKING GAME. And there are so many other games that got same treatment. B4B could have been AMAZING and it's own thing WITH aspects from L4D and been great If only the community hadn't shit on it so fucking hard. A game isn't going to get support from the developers if players just shit on it and then abandon the game without giving it time to become better. (And I've the developers wasn't chinese spies) Point is if you want a game to pull a no man's sky it needs support with constructive criticism rather than claiming it to be crap with no realy advice on how to make it better.

People say this games bad havent even tried it. It was awful at launch but the gamea pretty fun now. Custom card systems make it infinately fun. Onlything its missing is custom story / community maps.

This is a pretty cool L4D2 mod. I mean it's no Glubtastic and it's a little dry but I can tell that a fan but a lot of effort into it.

the game could be saved if the developers could have 2 more brain cells to fix the main problems, they could fix the game with :
1. modified the price of the game and editions, 30 dollars for the normal edition but $90 for the deluxe, they could put these prices to be affordable = Normal Edition:$14.99 - Deluxe Edition $ $39.99 - Ultimate Edition $59.99
2. Allow the Steam Workshop, since they could not think of new weapons or maps or campaign, they could let modders do that work to bring back 4 Blood a new fresh of air with new content
3. Fix Bugs
4. improve the game with some touches, like some new mechanics, UI, etc.

The fact World War Z isn't on here means that its a good game and I'm NOT INSANE. ITS A GOOD GAME!
back 4 bloods improvements and gameplay tweaks were great, but gameplay wise it lacked weight and intensity. To this day I would have fun playing this strictly because it's not an easy game, it can be really tough sometimes but the teamwork and random modifiers is what keeps me interested. And One thing that I can't unsee is the way the characters hold the Glock,,,,, their hand is not high enough on the grip 🤢😂.
Yooo this game is fun af. I almost didn't buy it then I was like. I do need a zombie game for PS5. The best things about this game are, that you can customize, matchmaking/crossplay (can join in game), when host leaves you can stay, gameplay fun, PVP, lobby waiting area, characters beautiful, no lag feels great, & fast pace ( depending on your build ).
THE FLAWS: Creating decks (People are usually lazy & dumb, so they won't understand that CREATING A DECK IS KINDA MANDATORY & Only are good for anything with a HEAL option on Kill/ For that I wouldn't mind it TOOKEN OUT THE GAME), Having to wait for people to load in the game, Cutscene leave me CLUELESS 😂 (still til this day don't know what the story is about), Dry... The game just seems dead 😂 IDK why, & last I feel it NEEDS MORE CHARACTERS & let us use the same characters, because everybody keep fighting for Jill Valentine (Karlee). I feel like This game is worth $45 or lower, just cus story kinda trash. People bashed it like it was trash... Its not. Yea a modded Left 4 Dead is better & easier.

Ngl B4B is a pretty good addon to Left 4 Dead. As a whole game, this shit sucks. The roblox version is kinda good, but it's very laggy and heavily relays on your ping. Bad ping = no zombies shove nuh uh
I still find it funny how WWZ is literally inspired by L4D but isn't being L4D. That special infected roster just makes sense, it just does.

If your interested about why left 2 die got discontinued its because fezezan (i think thats his name) got bored of l2d or something, he then switches from l2d into devloping another zombie game calles guts and blackpowder which is liike a zombie game set during the napolean age or whatever, also the defib is in l2d and l2d was in devlopment for a long time, they focus on infected scripting and mechanics so they only released 2 campaigns and 2 survival maps, AI (on roblox) is very hard to make.
L4D actually does have gun skins, it’s called 450,000 mods

honestly i viewed it differently from l4d and as they were updating it , it was getting better slowly , but then they changed the card system so that all your cards are given at the start and then proceeded to cancel further development . i had about 100 or so hours on it and out of that id say only maybe 30 were fun but thats because i had friends . turtlerock should shutter

I hate that so many people shit on B4B I understand the game had some major problems with its requiring certain types of data collections, and that's not okay at all. And the Simi mid story. But the game play had a solid foundation that was honestly insainly fun to play with friends. And everyone who says valve carried L4D is nuts. MODDING carried L4D not valve valve, made the game fixed the bugs for the most part, then stopped updating it for almost 10 years. The only thing valve did for l4d was give it mod suport.
If B4B hadn't been bought out by Chinese freaks who steal people's data, gave the game mod suport and fixed the damn game issues and actually balanced the cards properly rather then breaking the ones people loved the game would have been amazing. And people NEED to stop comparing EVERY horde shooter to L4D I get it l4d is amazing it is THE horde shooter.
BUT not every darn horde shooter has to PLAY like l4d people need to start looking at these game not as a "clone" of l4d BUT AS ITS OWN GAME. WWZ got nuked with "l4d rip off" when in reality IT WAS AN INSAINLY GOOD FREAKING GAME. And there are so many other games that got same treatment.
B4B could have been AMAZING and it's own thing WITH aspects from L4D and been great If only the community hadn't shit on it so fucking hard. A game isn't going to get support from the developers if players just shit on it and then abandon the game without giving it time to become better. (And I've the developers wasn't chinese spies)
Point is if you want a game to pull a no man's sky it needs support with constructive criticism rather than claiming it to be crap with no realy advice on how to make it better.

People say this games bad havent even tried it. It was awful at launch but the gamea pretty fun now. Custom card systems make it infinately fun. Onlything its missing is custom story / community maps.
