    That was genius of you to use a bicycle headset tool on the Vespa. Good to know that I don't need to buy the special Vespa headset tool if I buy a cheap Vespa with a bent fork as a project bike for my high school kids. I think new forks are easy to source and cost around $500.

    What a genius who designed that!! OMG how can it be that difficult to dissemble a front fender? Italian design on their best.

    This video was sooo good, it really helped me! Thanks a lot. Weird thing though, I replaced my front fender as well as the odometer cable and now the dashboard screeches can't find anything about it on the internet weirdly

    Thanks Blake for the info. Cracked my front fender last week and wanted to remove it, but didn't know how. Thought this would take me a few minute. Damn, did't think so much work was involved. Guess it's gonna stay crack for a while...a long while.

      papa Tutti yeah it's a pretty involved process as you can see. But all and all it's not that bad just more stuff than you would think from first glance.

    My front fender is loose and rattling. Too many brick streets in German Village. I think the screws have come loose. This video will help. Thanks.

    This is like the PX. What a headache. GOOD JOB !
    I think we can all agree that it is the most fucked up design to replace a front guard on any moto/scoot
    I rekon i could cut a section out of the guard , which would have a lapping piece on the inner made of stiff rubber to keep the mud guard doing its job and also provide lateral rigidity to the guard itself.
    Can it work ??

  • @DrInsane76

    If you disassemble the front caliper, you don’t have to flush the break line.

    Hello, thanks for your videos! I want to know how much play is between the upper bearing cup and the fork? I have a LX and when I use the front brake it click out of place and back in, I think the frame has the wrong bearing cups because when I take of the locknut there is a lot of play between the fork and the upper bearing cup. Please let me know thanks!

      Should be pretty tight but without drag. Also it shouldn't be too loose and rattle. It's just like the headset on a bike.

    • @danicaicedo
      @danicaicedo 4 роки тому +1

      Miles per hour is not possible because the fender it’s a close piece (shit design) your must unmount the wheel the suspension and the caliper brake system

    • @IVIiles

      Yeah, realise this a must job recently as i went through the same, the hole at the fender is way too small.

    Too much silly stupid talk, not enough common sense. I saw an Indian guy in a crummey workshop take the steering column out, and replace both top and bottom bearings cups and cones, replace the front fender, in half an hour and the bike was back together on the road. You took off the inner glovebox cover for no practical reason, and made a mountain our of a molehill with this simple task. Too bad that the customer has to pay for your time !!
