Specifically,I'm talking about a"FREQUENCY CONTROLLED"power supply,it's not a new idea by any means,but I've yet to see ANY amp builder utilize this"untapped"💡 idea. If you could raise the"FREQUENCY"of the power supply to like 600HZ.this amp would draw just a fraction of the power its using now. This is along the lines of a V.F.D.(Variable Frequency Drive)in electric motors in order for major mfg's to dramatically lower energy cost in mfg.. Instead of Vader drawing 500 amps on 240 3-phase,it would draw LESS(YES,I SAID LESS)then 50 amps with a"FREQUENCY DRIVEN"power supply at a FULL 50KW output!!. It beats the HELL out of 50/60 duty cycle big time. Something worth thinking about BBI/PRIME MINISTER.
The top tap on my Transformer In vader is 8650v at 9 amps. What's 12100 and some change underload rectified.. if they can't hear me with that kind of voltage and amperage going on I think I need to go back to the drawing board with the antenna first :) the variable frequency drives a really fun there's a lot of different things to look at there as far as that is concerned
here in my country in Europe my license limit me to 2.5kw...so i have other approach,have tower and beam yagi 8 element,,,13db gain...so my ERP in one direction is around 50kw....downside is that i have to change directions...it seems that you yenks do not have limit...eh land of free..LOL...

Hi i have just found your channel, and have been watching some of your vids, they are very enjoyable and helpful, i love the interviews you do , very interesting, i am a ham but i came from CB, the most power i had on the cb , years ago was 600w ssb, i am in the uk, you latest video got me thinking about fixing a tentec Hercules II amp i got some years ago, it had very high vswr input to the radio on some bands it uses 8x 2SC2879 Transistors ,tentec specs say it set for only 550w some one had un-soldered some of the input resisters,i re-soldered them i think they did this to get higher power out on 10/12m and may by 11m, i found the 12/10m low pass filter was not working correctly and pulling the power right down , i used a vna and found that it was only set for about 7mhz, i found the wrong value cap had been fitted in the filter, all is now working as it should on all bands 160m-10m, is this worth more just for the real 2SC2879 Transistors ? Thanks Dave

FM is legal on US CB now which means that no headroom required for peak modulation. A 40KW carrier would sound fine.
