🤔I’m thinking a lot the guys take Cpl months of (mediocre) classes oor because they got into a few street fights think they can fight competitively.
Was trying to fight like Roy Jones Jr only only thing is that only works if you got fast enough head movement and a faster first punch but even still its not a proper fighting style it puts you in very bed spots gotta keep your hands up

He’s an author not a fighter and he shouldn’t be in the ring if he doesn’t even know how to defend himself.

Because the whole point, IMO, is that this is not supposed to be a sparring/training session.
Headgear does not prevent being "dazed and confused", rocked, stunned, or knocked out. At best it helps prevent too much superficial facial damage (cuts, bruises, etc) and more often than not just makes it harder to slip and easier to get hit.
