If you don't know the basics of what happens to your muscles and your body when you die, and are for a long time. Don't fricking hate. It's not alive, its friggin stiff. It could of been dead for days to weeks. When you die, your body releases everything, EVERYTHING, and then stiffens because there is nothing moving your blood around. Eventually, the muscles decay. *"It's moving, it's moving!!"* It's not. It's because it's stiff, and was possibly packaged like that, so it goes back to that position, as the person stretched it's stiff muscles. The muscles were just going back, doesn't mean it's alive. You could have an eye twitch in the few hours after your death, from your brain dying from lack of oxygen being moved through your body to it, or your nerves. *"You killed it!"* They didn't. It's from a breeding program. Butterflies have short lives. It also could of been a pet and mailed to be framed. *"Why make it a decoration?"* Why did we kill animals and take their heads to be decorations? There can be various reasons. If it's a pet, it's likely for the memory. It's not bad. It's natural. It's grief, and their choice, not yours. If it was found by some sort of insect catcher/study? Again, not your choice. That is essentially "finders, keepers". Some people are collectors, not very unlike how us humans hunt the biggest or most majestic animals we can to *take their heads and make them decorations.* Some people actually do a different version of this to *study* the butterfly. If you scoff at this, or get disgusted by this, don't ever look into that industry, or biology of any kind. *"The colors fade, this is sus. I think they killed it!"* ... Someone said the color for this particular type of butterfly is *structural,* which likely means no, it doesn't fade that easily for this species. Is this really any different than sending a bit of your dead dogs hair to get it made into a doll of them to serve as a memory? I don't feel that it is. If you still have issues, *agree to disagree,* I do not care.
It was dead before the recording, it most likely died of natural causes since butterflies don’t live that long, meaning it most likely wasn’t suffering when it died, since there’s no torn wings or anything.
Bro all of you people in the comments are saying that u hate the person for killing the butterfly but the butterfly was most likely already dead or died with no pain

Stop thinking she/he killed it like you stepped on a spider because it's ugly you people.
Frr dude💀
you gotta be real careful with those wings. The color doesn't come from a pigmet but from a structure reflecting the light a certain way. Accidentally break it and the wing turns black
That is absolutely FASCINATING!! I had no idea
People are so backwards. They are upset about those who use butterflies as a beautiful home decoration (that died naturally, mind you) yet they sit on leather couches, car seats, use leather purses and shoes..some of those same people are even content with wearing the fur of an animal on their body; or sleeping on pillows from birds feathers. I don’t get it. The only difference is, butterflies die after a few days to weeks so breeding programs don’t kill them, quite the opposite actually. The other animals and products I mentioned don’t die naturally and are killed for not other reason than to benefit humans needs and wants.
I purposely didn’t bring up meat because meat is not a “decoration” and half of the people who are getting pissy is because the butterfly is used an as decoration🤦🏻♀️
Why would you want a dead butterfly in your house?

To the people saying "butterfly killer": Okay, so butterflies (from what I've seen other people say) have pretty short lifespans, and the person in the vid did not kill it.
To the people saying their teachers had dead bugs in their classroom: If you think it's cool...fine, but I...it's not for me.
To the people saying "poor butterfly":
I'm sorry to say, but the butterfly is... dead. But at least it can't feel anything?
For my fellow squeamish people: I don't like to look at dead butterflies either...so I scrolled. Well, I typed this comment, then scrolled.

I'm going to do this with my moth that just died! :'>
*"It's moving, it's moving!!"*
It's not.
*"You killed it!"*
They didn't. It's from a breeding program. Butterflies have short lives. It also could of been a pet and mailed to be framed.
*"Why make it a decoration?"*
Why did we kill animals and take their heads to be decorations? There can be various reasons. If it's a pet, it's likely for the memory. It's not bad. It's natural. It's grief, and their choice, not yours.
If it was found by some sort of insect catcher/study? Again, not your choice. That is essentially "finders, keepers". Some people are collectors, not very unlike how us humans hunt the biggest or most majestic animals we can to *take their heads and make them decorations.*
Some people actually do a different version of this to *study* the butterfly. If you scoff at this, or get disgusted by this, don't ever look into that industry, or biology of any kind.
*"The colors fade, this is sus. I think they killed it!"*
For all those worried about the butterfly, they were already dead so she's not killing them. People donate or send dead ones to her..
Not me crying because butterfly's are my fav animal 🤧 😢 😭
It was dead before the recording, it most likely died of natural causes since butterflies don’t live that long, meaning it most likely wasn’t suffering when it died, since there’s no torn wings or anything.

That's really unlikely, pollution is just too much and increasing.
It's kinda sad that these might disappear from nature eventually

Butterflies are so fragile, incredible work preparing it.
I know right. Their wings are like dust. Though that one was huge. Probably more sturdy than the little frail ones around here.
I did this with a dead butterfly I found.
Was too beautiful to just leave it to the bugs to eat & decay over time.
So I took it home, placed it in a jar & poured resin over it.
It’s a forever reminder of how beautiful & short life can be. Taxidermy is intriguing to me
