Its a city car ... Drove this car at 120km/h at plus hi way from north to KL, still feel ok ... & fuel saving car ... for a budget car (repeatedly mentioned by reviewer) its a nice design in & out
A very genuine review. Something want to point out for all the proud new Civic owners about the features they dont get instead Axia have it: 1. Front sensors 2. Foldable rear seats 3. LED third brake light
regarding about the third brake light, it gets so warm that over a few years, you're rear window tint will fail because of the heat generated from the third brake light
the keyhole is for fail safe all keyless entry car has a keyhole somewhere, just that for more premium car..it's hidden many are located behind the door handle
Bezza 1.3X mmg mantap...design exterior & interior Bezza pun lg lawa mcm tombol gear, tingkap aircond kiri kanan, tombol tgh, meter utama bezza 1.3x lg cantik dr axia 1.0advance
At 40k you would wish they threw in stability control - a pity they did not. Arguably the 30 odd k version is not bad, and you could sort of improve sound deadening outside. Having said that, I would wonder, this or the Saga VVT? I drove the Saga and while it was fine, the clutch based CVT is not good, and at least on that particular car the brakes had no feel and bite.
Hi Wai Luen, great review! So far the best car reviewer I have seen in Malaysia! Subscribed! A few questions though, I am just about to start my first job and looking for a car which is cheap, safe and fuel efficient. Would you recommend the auto SE version? Does this car have hill start assist? Will the car drift downwards when you switch to D on the hill? What do you think of the car safety wise? Is it a real bad compromise given its price? Also, would you recommend the SE-AT version of this car if I am supposed to commute about 24km a day (1 way)?
If what you want is a fuss-free car thay is easy on the wallet, by all means, go for it. No hill start assist, but I don't think it's necessary for a torque converter auto. Even on the steepest of slopes, roll back is minimal and you have ample time to quickly get on the accelerator and move the car.
Maybe it's just me but I quite like the 3 cylinder thrumm. Although I suppose growing up and driving around with my dad's kancil maybe have something to do with that 😅
From what Ive read, in terms of drving train (feeling) Saga wins but like Kong mentioned, in terms of maintenance, gas consumption, Axia wins..& it gets you from A to B the same.. if you dont mind the boot space.. tp Saga baru nampak lbh mantap dn praktikal
Mind sharing your height Kon as i wanna use it as a reference when sitting in the axia. Im 6ft tall and im wondering if i will fit this car well. I fit perfectly in the 1st gen myvi and heard rumours that axia has more space than 1st gen myvi. Anyone can confirm this?
Just realized there's a problem with my editing software Da Vinci Resolve. I've been reading that this software has the tendency to have audio problems. Working to resolve that, but may have to bear with this problem for a while.
The Axia really just does not make sense in it's higher trim level. And for this sort of price range, top up slightly more you'd get a much better driving, more refined and safer Saga VVT or MyVi 1.3. The only one that makes sense seems to be only the Axia G imo. But at this sort of price. I'd just go used car.
Does the new vvt axia engine feel like want to mati when you stop in D gear? Previous axia without vvt that driven by me always feel like that when stop.
On your earlier review for the same car you said you are not going to put your hand phone / mobile on the door bottle mount .. but you just did it on this video .. haha
No one can beat Kon's review when it comes to reviewing a local car , good job Mr.Kon
Thanks for watching!

Jimat mintak tak bezza dari axia?

Saga VVT for me, no question
Thanks for the review. Helps me a lot in deciding which variant to buy.
Thanks for watching. Happy shopping!

@@KonWaiLuen Thank you
Kon Wai Luen ..
Very straight forward details review,
maybe picanto 2018 in next video?
Quite a while Picanto arrived here
Hope can get it first from you review it!
Not the next video, but definitely in the midst of arranging.
I was travelling at 150 some axia overtook me... Crazy!
May be it was Beng driving. Hahahaha
True. Downing a highway slope it can even reach 170 km/h. But the engine is SUPER LOUD at it. Heheh
The fastest ive drove was 160kmj downhill. Feel like the engine was screaming for more hp!!
anything 80KM/H above, it's already very loud in the axia
‘To get from point A to point B, a very near point A to point B’ followed by the hand gesture 😂 Once again another great review Kon !
Thanks for watching.
My right ear feels lonely
This was me editing my vid with a new software. Problem will be sorted for future vids.
Same to my right ear
6.33 the space to put smart key...always do that.
Oh yeah, that's right
Perodua should provide the 60/40 rear split seat to axia to make it more pratical.
That one for Myvi. Haha
Hi Kon, is the leather seat first layer or there’s add on above the fabric?
Hi kon..if we compare saga premium and axia advance, which one have more affordable maintenance?
Axia is more affordable to maintain, no question.
I bought axia G for 35k.. If you ask me.. axia SE and advance is not that worth. If you want to buy axia advance.. better go for saga VVT
Agreed.
Saga vvt same price? I prefer Proton actually coz interior is nicer than Perodua cars.
But with current Rm37k plus, I think is worth it to upgrade to SE version with all the stuff u get.
The front G seats are flat, while the SE has bucket seats. Big difference in day to day driving?
My Lil Bro just make a good choice by Choosing Saga VVT for its ride instead of this. Btw can u review the Saga VVT?
I do have a video of it from my Carlist days cohosted with Roda Pusing
6:32 I use that compartment mainly for my electric gate controller
Doesn't fall off?
Nope
Maybe it's just me but I quite like the 3 cylinder thrumm. Although I suppose growing up and driving around with my dad's kancil maybe have something to do with that 😅
I can appreciate a good three-cylinder engine, but this one does not seem to rev with any joy or relish.
The ford fiesta three-cylinder engine( the 1.0 turbo version) is pretty good. I have a chance to try once and very much supprise what can it do.
Between Axia Advance and Saga Premium, which one is better/worth it?
From what Ive read, in terms of drving train (feeling) Saga wins but like Kong mentioned, in terms of maintenance, gas consumption, Axia wins..& it gets you from A to B the same.. if you dont mind the boot space.. tp Saga baru nampak lbh mantap dn praktikal
would you prefer a used car like Kelisa or Myvi over this?
A used Kelisa will actually be really fun, but these cars are holding their values really well.
since you're reviewing an a segment car, can you do a review of the kia picanto?
Attempting to arrange.

would be great if you could get a hands on the bezza gxtra
Schedule a bit swamped the next few weeks, but will try.
How much
Please review Picanto !!
Have requested!
hi kon, is it worth to buy axia spec g auto?
For RM35k, an okay purchase.
The review aside, can you do something about the mono audio? It's hard on headphone user
same feeling....made me recheck my headphone...thought my headphone out d...
Sorry guys, could be the phone I'm using to capture the audio.
Just realized there's a problem with my editing software Da Vinci Resolve. I've been reading that this software has the tendency to have audio problems. Working to resolve that, but may have to bear with this problem for a while.
Is the steering setup for this axia similar to the pre facelift model
You mean the steering rack itself? Don't think got major changes lah.
The Axia really just does not make sense in it's higher trim level. And for this sort of price range, top up slightly more you'd get a much better driving, more refined and safer Saga VVT or MyVi 1.3.

Haha... yes, plenty of interesting options. The used car scene is a buyers' market now.
Which better and jimat minyak? Bezza Gxtra(m) or Axia Special edition (m)?
Axia lebih jimat la, sebab badan lebih ringan, but Bezza is a better overall car
Kon Wai Luen ..
Does the new vvt axia engine feel like want to mati when you stop in D gear? Previous axia without vvt that driven by me always feel like that when stop.
Well... the vibration is quite intense.
I confuse what car to i buy . Oh goshhh 🤔🤔🤔
Hahaha.. see your budget and start from there.
I guess we will be getting 5008 very soon since today launch in one u xD
Hahaha.. i m there right now!
Kon Wai Luen Saw YKF and Beng was finding you. Hahaha
Kon, your video has been mono sound recently😣😣😣
Thanks for pointing out, trying to identify and fix
@@KonWaiLuen versi axia advance ni tak de auto handle lock eh ..fuh slmt ..blh lh dlm snrai nk bli , tpi pening nk banding dgn bezza gxtra
On your earlier review for the same car you said you are not going to put your hand phone / mobile on the door bottle mount .. but you just did it on this video .. haha
Lack of a better alternative. Haha.
Dual vvti or vvti mr kon
dual VVT-i
Kon Wai Luen tq
Dual VVT-i really for this model?
What happen to left knee position if the tall driver?
"...commuting around a housing estate.." ROFLOL
Terrible audio... Should invest in better sound recorder.
I'm driving the kereta sekolah memandu🤣🤣🤣
How you liking it? For RM24k, easy on the wallet la huh?
Kon Wai Luen other than pricing, I really appreciate the size when I'm finding for parking 😂😂
KON? again the voice is coming out from left speaker only
Yes..so annoying when u use earphone. Rasa pekak sebelah dah
Sorry guys! Fixing it.
ha ha that will be manually mono
at least nothing break
Haha.. it shouldn't
You sound like humiliating. I only can afford to buy this.
hehehe ... you look like a chinese version of Michael Westen but good review though ...
I would have bought this car if it has power steering, I hate car with no power steering
The variant I drove had power steering.
@@KonWaiLuen may I know which variant has power steering? I want to purchase this car.
Go for the higher models.
Lower spec also got power steering except the manual one not sure whether it has
Ad versi bm x??..x fhm sngt ni..hmm
Ada, Kon dn Al-Bak dr Roda Pusing/Carlist buat bersama. Apa pun, tuan dh beli ke Axia nya?
Altho picanto is nearly 10k more exp but I still think it is the best value A segment hatchback in market
The pricing is wrong should have sold at a cheaper price then buyer can forgive the refinement issue
Oh yes, the Picanto is fantastic value. Finding time to test drive it.
