I think the new person as Ariel singing that classic song is a wonderful tribute to Howard Ashman. Even though he passed away back in 1991, it’s great to see and hear his legacy live on with this new generation of people performing his songs.
Halle Bailey has such a beautiful voice! I think the new Little Mermaid has a lot of potential. The Disney remakes have mainly been hit-or-miss with me (I personally love what they did with Cinderella and The Jungle Book though), but I'm looking forward to seeing how they approach this adaptation.
I have to admit it, Camila Cabello looked really stunning as Cinderella my friend

It's so unfair that this teaser got so many haters just because of the cast of Ariel. Seriously... that voice... That voice is Ariel's!!❤❤❤❤❤ That's how she is supposed to sound!! Honestly, this trailer isn't that bad. I think the only thing I really would have changed would be just make the hair go out a bit more and just slightly more light for when it comes in through the hole, like make it catch on a rock, but like, maybe this remake will be great, her singing is amazing and she loved beautiful, I love the tail on her.
Though I wanted to request for you to check out some of the Final Fantasy XIV music cause that game knocks it out of the park with the music, the best ones I think are Close In The Distance, Civilization, Tomorrow and Tomorrow, and Dragonsong at least for the ones to start with! You can take your pick of which one first

Not only can Halle sing but she kind of sounds like Jodie Benson there. But if this movie is another soulless cash grab I'm going to be mad. Especially since the haters will solely blame Halle Bailey for it for daring to not be a white red head. I'm glad that they didn't repeat their mistake with Emma Watsons singing from the live action Beauty and the Beast

This is just an opinion and is not made to upset ppl, sorry to those I offend but:
the movie existing it self is upsetting enough. Another Disney remake that will be a cash grab if nothing else. Also the fact they change Ariel’s race, she looks nothing like the original. She is a beautiful girl with an amazing voice but this is Disney trying to make it so their not racist even though we have different raced princesses already. Can you imagine them making a live action princess and the frog but change tiana into a white girl?
Expecting it to fail, all these remakes have been nothing but a poor copy of the original and seem to only be deteriorating with each one.

The live-action remakes of Disney animated classics are usually hits or misses nowadays.
From the hits: Beauty & the Beast, Cinderella, Aladdin.
The misses: The Lion King, Pinocchio.
I’m keeping my hopes up for this live-action The Little Mermaid.
Maybe it's because I have parrots, and an African grey that talks, but the photorealism of the lion king didn't bother me at all, and I really liked the new take on it.
@@luciferfaust And I think that 2019 Lion King was mistakenly classified as “live-action remake.” It should be called a “CGI remake” on account that nothing there was filmed on location anywhere. Kinda wished they’d give it the same treatment as Dinosaur. CGI characters with live action background.

This movie could be one of the other disappointing ones yes but we shall see, can’t dictate one movie based on the others.
@@Rainy_jay8876 while I agree you should never judge one thing on the rest of it group, I also have to disagree with their being good Disney remakes. There are none, they do not exist. So in this case where every single one of these remakes has turned out bad 100% of the time the stats of it being a good remake are slim to none. And when I say slim I mean 0.0000000001% chance at best of it being good. Not to mention hearing the way she was singing part of your world I can already tell it's going in the wrong direction.
