Looking at the engine configuration, MS missed some important details, like the fact that the Dornier DO-X used 9 cylinder radials, not V-12s like depicted in the 'fly-around'. Also the engine mounts were pretty solid structures with an auxiliary wing of sorts between each set of engines. The engine sound is fairly accurate on startup, as they do sound like typical cold-blooded radials, that would just as soon not start if they had a choice!😂 They actually had air starters for the individual engines, and the startup checklist is just crazy to get each one of them running. I'm guessing they had at least 2, if not more guys, in the engine control room to get this flying Titanic running, and keep it running with all the timing, and mixture controls, etc. There wasn't too much in the way of automation in the early 1930's for sure!😉 *Correction:* The original Bristol Jupiter radials were replaced with Curtiss V-1570 water-cooled V-12's that got the speed and horsepower to a point where it could maintain 500 meters altitude (1600 ft.) to allow it to attempt a trans-Atlantic flight, starting in November of 1930.

Move the radio room into the cockpit, You have a 747 style upper deck bar and lounge.
