@@jefftolomeo6923 Its not about replacing it, its about this being a sequel and that track doesnt reflect the conflict in Strikers as strong as it did in Persona 5.
I love this song. With a title like that, you'd expect it to be about the protagonists bravely standing against impossible odds... But it's the opposite of that, haha. This is the protagonists standing tall in all their confidence and glory, having killed (at least) one god already, staring down this game's overconfident new villains, and going "Oh my, you must be quite the daredevils to try and stand in _our_ way. Cute. Haven't you heard what we do with people like you? Oh well. Just don't say we didn't warn you." And it feels so good.
Lyn recorded the songs over several years. There are "three iterations" of Persona 5, Persona 5 the original game, Persona 5 Royal (base game with a huge story expansion and slightly redesigned original story + graphics enchantments and new songs) and Persona 5 Strikers (Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers in JP), which is an action oriented sequel to Persona 5 (that's why it's soundtrack is more energetic). So yeah, it was done over several years. Also, Lyn live sounds INSANELY good.
Persona 5 S is more like a Spin off than a sequel for several reasons though. It was not created as a sequel but as a follow up shorter extra experience (and advertised as such) by another developer team (it included some of the people from the “P5 team” as well as Omega force). Also from a narrative perspective it ends just where P5 ended, it’s the same status quo basically. It doesn’t want to add stuff over P5 story arcs but adds some extra to the original cast and let the new characters carry the most important roles in the story (the last sentence is a bit more subjective). Sorry to be a little precise here but I don’t like how people spread the rumor this is a sequel. If you expect a full part two of the story or the experience (let alone an evolved version) of P5 you could be pretty disappointed. Basically it’s not the next chapter in the lives of the phantom thieves, it’s absolutely more like their troublesome vacation extra.
@@edwardsuou idk, for me it's a sequel, but to each their own I guess. I'm not the kind of person who's worried about what's cannon and what's not and all that stuff. Basically, for me, if it happens after the first it's a sequel. But don't get me wrong, I can definitely understand your point ^^ I just don't care that much about the label :P it works for me and everyone calls it a sequel anyways (even the director).
One of the best P5S tracks, it has such an epic feeling and thankfully you hear it quite a few times ingame. Also there is a great behind the scenes video for Strikers. It shows a lot of the games musical process, from how Lyn goes about her singing to the lyrical writing and instrumentals.
WOOOO HE RETURNS And a banger from Persona 5 Strikers/Scramble too?? What a great thing to wake up to :D Just for clarification: Persona 5 Strikers (or Scramble in the original japanese title) is a little sequel to Persona 5. Persona 5 Royal is basically a re-release of Persona 5 with extra content and QOL-changes. ^^ While Persona 5 (-Royal) only has Turn-Based combat, Persona 5 Strikers is a musou hack-n-slay game with Dynasty Warriors-inspired action gameplay. The soundtrack kind of reflects that; the usage of the guitar is much more present and in-your-face, it features more rock-typical elements, whereas Persona 5s guitar is often times a bit more subtle or even just functions as a rhythmic tool. The Persona 5 OST was mostly composed by Shoji Meguro, but that isn't the case for Persona 5 Strikers, as its soundtrack was written by Atsushi Kitajoh, who has also worked on the Dynasty Warriors series, as well as Persona. I find it impressive, that he managed to give the OST a new touch while still having that typical Persona 5 flair, especially through the arrangements of the strings, keyboards and reed organs. It just FEELS like Persona. I love this OST.
Important and fun note about Strikers too is that it has remixes of songs from the originals with heavier rock influence. Personally my favorite remixes are Rivers In The Desert, Last Surprise (that remixed opening 10 seconds is killer) and Keeper of Lust. They’re all incredible though.
@@ThatFoxGirl Oh yeah, very true! I haven't gotten all too far in Strikers yet, so I've only heard the new arrangement of Last Surprise so far. However, I can definitely say that it's an absolute certified banger. I also love the fact that the band played this track live at 2020s Game Awards, absolute killer performance.
You mentioning Shiki no Uta made me go listen to it again, yes!! I definitely know what you mean with that MINMI flavor. This song is really great; the whole P5S ost is crazy good.
9:20 that is her and honestly thats prob 3% of her power she can hold insanly highnotes for inhumane long times while singing and not screaming them its incredible
Liking the new Auditorium, very nice. As long as you're getting into Persona songs, if you get a chance check out one called Light the Fire Up in the Night "KAGEJIKAN" + "MAYONAKA" from Persona 3: Dancing Moon Night. While "Light the Fire Up in the Night" is actually from Persona Q, that game has two versions of the song. The Dancing Moon night version combines both and it's really amazing.
Great reaction! Could you please do The Almighty from Persona 4 next? Would also love to see A Fight To The Death from Kingdom Hearts II (original PS2 version)

This track plays when you are securing your route to pull off the heist, its honestly criminal this doesn't play during the heist itself.
Because as great as this song is, I don't think much can replace life will change
@@jefftolomeo6923 daredevil >>>> life will change

I reckon that they should of replaced life will change with daredevil, life will change sticks out like a sore thumb in this game
They do though... they literally do. It plays in Osaka.

there is also persona 5 animation too that she has sung songs for
And she also sung part of persona Q2 (the 3ds dungeon crawler spinoff) songs, if I'm not mistaken
And Groovy from Dancing in Starlight

The introduction with the assault to the Shibuya jail must be the most badass thing ever. It was love at first sight for someone new to Persona.

Atsushi Kitajoh is so underrated, he’s composed the music for pretty much all the Persona spin offs but he rarely gets the credit he deserves.

I ought to check that out. I prefer the P4 version of the song, but I wonder if this would be a "more than the sum of its parts" scenario.
