Mr. Osborne conducted some terrific interviews with actors such as James Garner, discussing the making of “The Great Escape” and Mr. Garner’s memories of Steve McQueen, Richard Attenborough, James Coburn and Charles Bronson, who was NOT one of Mr. Garner’s favorite co-stars in the film.
Life before the Internet wasn't all bad... I have fond memories of curling up on the couch while my dad and I watched great classic movies... and this find gent was there to explain it all
This movie was never remade. Oh, I know what the poster was thinking: the John Carpenter production of John W. Campbell's short novel "Who Goes There>" but they are really two different movies. This Howard Hawhe Campbell story (enough so that they had tp credit him AND pay him) but the screenplay by Charles Lederer really gives us a different story and Hawks and the cast deliver a movie that is PERFECTLY done on every way. Carpenter's film of Campnell's original story is also perfect but is not a remake of this.
Simply, the greatest sci-fi movie of it's era... just an amazing film...
TCM just isn't the same without him :(
Scott Pomeroy .....iiiii knnnooowwww...😫😫😫
I always enjoyed Mr. Osborne's commentaries as much as the movie. They always added to the experience. When he passed , it seemed TCM died also.

Miss this guy so much. So classy and knowledgeable.
Please put in old Osborne intros in TCM movies
RIP Robert Osborne

They should show repeats of him introducing a movie....TCM ratings may increase..
