The trailer Looks promising, looking forward to release. I hope nick fury will take up a leader role going forward. Since captain America and iron man, the heroes in MCU are missing someone to coordinate them. With Kang on the villain side taking position, it would be cool to see nick fury slowly taking lead again…
I saw this trailer on insta this morning. I am looking forward to seeing how Fury justifies his absence and non participation for the past few years because it seems he really dropped the ball. I'm counting on it being a GOOD explanation. I'm very much looking forward to seeing this series and what it's impact will be on the MCU.
my MCU X-Men fan theory: keep First Class, Days of Future Past, Apocalypse, Dark Phoenix, Deadpool 1 & 2, New Mutants in the Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline as there is a massive gap between 1963-1995 with the Dark Phoenix cast appearing in Deadpool 1&2, these films can happen after the events of Dark Phoenix and since Essex Corps is referenced in New Mutants, this could happen in the Dark Phoenix timeline after these events, Professor X uses Cerebro to convince the world that mutants don't exist and erase any new mutant activities from people's minds whenever one is witnessed. however the only person who knows is Nick Fury, who agrees with Professor X to keep tabs on any new mutant activity. this is also referenced in a deleted scene from Iron Man 1, when Nick mentions X-Men the X-Men can work in secret between 1992 up until Endgame. when Tony Stark snaps his fingers, the mind stone reverses the effects of Professor X's actions. resulting in the public now remembering who the X-Men are as for Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, Hydra's meddling with the mind stone prematurely reversed Professor X's actions, as it was mentioned that the mind stone unlocks dormant abilities already present in the brain my theory brings the Dark Phoenix X-Men cast into the MCU, thus eliminating the need to recast the entire X-Men team. the actors are young, they've expressed interest in returning and continuing their roles. it's an option for Marvel Studios to do that I've explained my theory to a lot of people, most of whom say it works. others say it won't work and demand i should forget everything about the Fox X-Men films and be happy with what Disney/Marvel Studios are going to do with the X-Men I will probably receive a lot of negative feedback about my theory, nothing is set in stone, if Marvel Studios can bring back JK Simmons as J Jonah Jameson, why won't they bring back the Dark Phoenix cast? there are multiple websites that support my theory, along with the Iron Man 1 deleted post credit scene. not only that, something similar happened in the comics (Robert Reynolds/Sentry and Gabriel Summers/Vulcan) since Days of Future Past rewrote the timeline, X-trilogy/Wolverine trilogy no longer take place as the ending to Dark Phoenix doesn't connect to the original trilogy, leaving it open for possible future sequels. as I mentioned, the Dark Phoenix cast could return and continue James McAvoy - Professor X Michael Fassbender - Magneto Tye Sheridan - Cyclops Nicholas Hoult - Beast Alexandra Shipp - Storm Kodi Smitt-Mcphee - Nightcrawler Sophie Turner - Jean Grey Josh Brolin - Cable Brianna Hildebrand - NTW Stefan Kapicic - Colossus Olivia Munn - Psylocke Peter Dinklage - Bolivar Trask Oscar Isaac - Apocalypse Rose Byrne - Moira McTaggart Anya Taylor-Joy - Magik as I've mentioned, in my X-Men MCU timeline, Mystique dies and Quicksilver dies after Avengers 2. the other X-Men characters I don't mind recasting, as long as they keep the cast I mention above aswell as try to follow my fan theory
Remember how in Captain Marvel he said even his mother calls him Fury. Did anyone else catch that James Rhodes called Fury Nick in the trailer?! Rhodes is a Skrull!
I love the real world thrillers MCU stories. Simpler is better. I will hope we get another season of Moon Knight and Loki 3. I also feel like we could get another season of Hawkeye.
@@Izzy8u That's why Infinity War and Endgame worked so well as they built to it for years. Not all MCU films were world ending like 1st Guardians / Ant Man / Dr Strange or Captain Marvel but they were all necessary.
Hyped for this series! Really hoping but not relying on daisy johnson showing up now all the Netflix shows are coming back from the dead too! The world needs more Phil Coulson! Thanks for the coverage Charlie 👋🏼
I guess Fury is usually so used to being in control that the snap really shook him to his core. Still seems a little bit of a stretch but I’ll wait to let the series explain it.
I don't like that they release them weekly, the whole point of streaming is that you can watch all at once..so I always wait until all episodes have been released before I watch
Off topic question but, do you think Nick Fury realized he forgot the identity of Spider-Man? With him being so high up the latter, pretty much knowing 99% of superhero’s story, he would realize it would be strange for them to not know who he is.
The avengers separated and left wanda alone, that right there broke my heart, how could you, we were a team...it was then i realized i am a supervillain...
Its sad that Natasha isn't here to help create the new avengers like with the original Crew, she met with tony, bruce, and even worked with Steve and falcon
"Why don't you ask for help from your special friends" Well this is only a 6 episode series, and we don't have that kind of budget to bring in Hemsworth, Evans, and don't get me started about Johansson
Fury's mission was to protect Earth from alien threats and then he becomes the reason the world faces an alien threat. Classic Marvel trope of heroes causing the problem.
So glad we are getting something with a full focus on Fury. I mean how you gonna have Samuel L. freakin Jackson and not make him the lead of his own project.
Good video, I’ll watch your video later. Excited for this series to see how long fury was a skrull and everything else like after the blip and what the real fury is up to.
Looks a ur gana be busy cuz this series looks good charlie!! At least there's no one better doing it brotha!! I kinda hope they show how fury was chillin this whole time. maybe golf balls in orbit now??
Nick Fury is a planner and was likely getting updates from Captain Marvel on her deep-space runs to force the Kree to let the mind-controlled go (i.e. pre-Guardians -vol 1), then after Thanos happened, her going back to check on things post-Tony snap (because that snap killed/erased all Thanos activities after 2014). This is why in GotG vol 3, the potential for Adam Warlock to have the Soul Stone still exists. After The Marvels, there should be some explaining during CPT America Brave New World and Nick's refocus on Earth.
Love you videos bc they help me understand so much more lol. I haven't watched the Spiderverse movies at all, are they a must-watch and connected to everything in the shows/movies? Thanks Charlie!
I love this scene it seems like we're getting a worn down fury and he wants to prove to him self that he's still got it and it's personal because he let the skrulls stay on earth I can't wait thanks Charlie
After Capt Marvel and the first Avengers movie, Fury was lazer focused on space and threats from beyond earth. Why would the blip and Thanos shake him to his core? Ultron didn’t even phase him. Doesn’t make a lot of sense for him to be shook up by the very thing he was preparing for.
I am sure Nick fury has a plan for every possible outcome if he’s just now dropping in on earth. That will probably be the kicker for the show. He seems dumbfounded, and barely getting away at every turn, and sometimes even compromise but then at the very end, he switches it up and was like I’ve been planning this entire time. Now you’re all fucked.
It would be cool if they followed the source material leading from secret invasion to Fury losing his status in shield/ department of defense with Osborne or whoever they choose to fire that final shot at the Skrull Queen to usher in “Dark Reign”/ “Siege”. They also could start a Hickman based series with “Secret Warriors” where Fury comes out of the shadows to take down the powers that be like “Hammer” or “Roxxon”.
What's the plot of the Secret Invasion Disney Plus show besides Nick Fury and Talos dealing with bad Skulls? Are we going to find out if people like Rhodey War Machine were Skulls the whole time or not?
Skrulls, not Skulls. The plot is that the refugee Skrulls from Captain Marvel- especially the younger ones- are tired of waiting for a new planet to inhabit, so they've decided to take over the Earth instead, and to that end they've been quietly replacing political leaders and doing experiments to give themselves superpowers, and based on this trailer also plotting to wipe out the entire human race.
Can you do a video about what would happen if we saw the Fantastic Four in the Secret Invasion Disney Plus show since it would show a Super_Skrull with their powers?
I really need to know what the future of Daredevil, Punisher, and Kingpin are within the MCU. I get Secret Wars, but they've brought in so many characters like Ms. Marvel, Shang-Chi, etc. Is there any thought from Marvel Studio on the real Mandarin failure in the Iron Man movie? What about Ultron? He's not gone, so wouldn't Ultron be a perfect connection to Kang given his knowledge of all multiple universes. Kang is all about future technology but he's killed Avengers in multiple timelines. What's going on with Surtur? This is just to name a few....
1:36 👈 Is this the part where Wolverine fought that Hybrid Mutant created by Colonel William Stryker in the first movie Wolverine? Is so looks like the MCU will be bringing in the X-Men with the Avengers, I know somewhere in the Comics this took place.
Well Kang more or less created Apocalypse who more or less in turn made the seed for which all mutants came from. So if they want to tackle that angle to explain how mutants came to the MCU, then they would explore more then KANG -> Apocalypse -> Mutants arc.
I really wish that Marvel Studios and Marvel TV had not been at odds with each other for the longest time during those years when we still had Agents of SHIELD & Netflix/Hulu shows. AoS dealt with this via LMDs and Chronicoms, which if I’m right from the comics, it had been discovered that the Nick Fury on earth had been an LMD the whole time whilst an aging Nick Fury was on the moon. I get that Talos has been pretending to be Nick Fury as revealed in Spider-Man Far from Home; & that Fury on the space station hasn’t totally been a recluse, but it would be cool if they were able to incorporate some story beats from Original Sin. I think however that would require FF if I remember right
I'll be honest. Until recently, the next big thing Marvel was putting out that I was super excited for was Fantastic Four. But now that they've announced Adam Driver as Reed Richards, I'm a lot less excited. (Adam seems to have only 2 expressions: gloomy, and gloomier) I guess I will have to root for a new Avengers team made up of Dr. Strange, Wanda, some variation of Hulk (please not She-Hulk!!!), Captain Falcon America, Ant-man and Shang Chi. What we will probably get is Black Shuri Panther, female Hailee Hawkeye, She Hulk, Ms. Marvel, Iron Heart and maybe the Teletubbies.
I badly need a Norman Osborn who is the corrupt Tony stark type and he is similar to Homelander , he poses as kind and nice to the public but is a horrible person with split persona with goblin but more twisted and horrifying in the mcu , they can build toward that over time , it’d be amazing to see iron patriot and the mcu Eddie brock and bullseye , imagine r rated dark avengers like the boys but more fantastical obviously, but in that vein. Maybe the mcu venom can be more grounded and come from battle world and have a more human sized body with the mcfarlne look it’d be fun
Looking forward to it so much that I didn't cancel my Disney Plus sub. But I'm interested in how the whole story around Fury will actually turn out, which I wasn't really anticipating until watching your review. Let's wait and see, thanks again for some really good insight🎉
Just realized that the show comes out June 21st. What else is on June 21st, you ask? Summer Solstice - neat little side note to have a show about change of appearance and invasion of dark forces come out on a day after which the length of the day appears to change towards more darkness every day... would've been fun if the show was running until Winter Solstice, but alas, shows are nowadays just 6-8 episodes long and span over 3-5 days (my guesstimate).
I’m really anticipating this show, the vibe just feels right, all the politics and corruption, it reminds me of the Netflix marvel shows like daredevil or punisher, I don’t think this one will be as violent as those shows, but it feels like it’ll be different from anything in the mcu so far. I’m very excited for what’s to come with more adult and mature content like the punisher. Over the years Marvel has really dumbed itself down for children’s consumption but the adult material is where they need to go next.

Probably had diarrhea that placed him in a coma.
Looking forward to a conversation between Deadpool and Nick Fury…
we're one week away for secret invasion
Yeah!
my MCU X-Men fan theory:
keep First Class, Days of Future Past, Apocalypse, Dark Phoenix, Deadpool 1 & 2, New Mutants in the Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline as there is a massive gap between 1963-1995
with the Dark Phoenix cast appearing in Deadpool 1&2, these films can happen after the events of Dark Phoenix and since Essex Corps is referenced in New Mutants, this could happen in the Dark Phoenix timeline
after these events, Professor X uses Cerebro to convince the world that mutants don't exist and erase any new mutant activities from people's minds whenever one is witnessed. however the only person who knows is Nick Fury, who agrees with Professor X to keep tabs on any new mutant activity. this is also referenced in a deleted scene from Iron Man 1, when Nick mentions X-Men
the X-Men can work in secret between 1992 up until Endgame. when Tony Stark snaps his fingers, the mind stone reverses the effects of Professor X's actions. resulting in the public now remembering who the X-Men are
as for Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, Hydra's meddling with the mind stone prematurely reversed Professor X's actions, as it was mentioned that the mind stone unlocks dormant abilities already present in the brain
my theory brings the Dark Phoenix X-Men cast into the MCU, thus eliminating the need to recast the entire X-Men team. the actors are young, they've expressed interest in returning and continuing their roles. it's an option for Marvel Studios to do that
I've explained my theory to a lot of people, most of whom say it works. others say it won't work and demand i should forget everything about the Fox X-Men films and be happy with what Disney/Marvel Studios are going to do with the X-Men
I will probably receive a lot of negative feedback about my theory, nothing is set in stone, if Marvel Studios can bring back JK Simmons as J Jonah Jameson, why won't they bring back the Dark Phoenix cast?
there are multiple websites that support my theory, along with the Iron Man 1 deleted post credit scene. not only that, something similar happened in the comics (Robert Reynolds/Sentry and Gabriel Summers/Vulcan)
since Days of Future Past rewrote the timeline, X-trilogy/Wolverine trilogy no longer take place as the ending to Dark Phoenix doesn't connect to the original trilogy, leaving it open for possible future sequels. as I mentioned, the Dark Phoenix cast could return and continue
James McAvoy - Professor X
Michael Fassbender - Magneto
Tye Sheridan - Cyclops
Nicholas Hoult - Beast
Alexandra Shipp - Storm
Kodi Smitt-Mcphee - Nightcrawler
Sophie Turner - Jean Grey
Josh Brolin - Cable
Brianna Hildebrand - NTW
Stefan Kapicic - Colossus
Olivia Munn - Psylocke
Peter Dinklage - Bolivar Trask
Oscar Isaac - Apocalypse
Rose Byrne - Moira McTaggart
Anya Taylor-Joy - Magik
as I've mentioned, in my X-Men MCU timeline, Mystique dies and Quicksilver dies after Avengers 2. the other X-Men characters I don't mind recasting, as long as they keep the cast I mention above aswell as try to follow my fan theory
Remember how in Captain Marvel he said even his mother calls him Fury. Did anyone else catch that James Rhodes called Fury Nick in the trailer?! Rhodes is a Skrull!
The dialogue makes it fairly obvious too.
Even the Tiktok dialogue
from Rhodes hints that he's a skrull
Or marvel is fooling us with the plot twist
Imagine if Rhodes has been a skull this whole time! Like since captain marvel movie time period. That would be an insane plot twist!!
Don Cheadle James Rhodes morphs into Terrence Howard for a moment and then morphs into the skrull form.
Hope we'd get for see some more cameo of daisy Johnson ( quake) or Fitz + simmons.
that would be cool!
I love the real world thrillers MCU stories. Simpler is better. I will hope we get another season of Moon Knight and Loki 3. I also feel like we could get another season of Hawkeye.
Same! The avengers and every comic super hero weren’t battling a world/universe ending conflict in every comic. They faced a bit of everything.
@@Izzy8u That's why Infinity War and Endgame worked so well as they built to it for years. Not all MCU films were world ending like 1st Guardians / Ant Man / Dr Strange or Captain Marvel but they were all necessary.

Phil Coulson deserves to be happily retired but I would jump for joy if he and/or Daisy Johnson could make a cameo appearence.
i feel so silly for forgetting all about Fury, i didn't even notice until watching these videos that he wasn't even there for a lot of things 😭.
So stoked for the return of nick fury

Stewart and McKellan killed it in X-Men.
Love the personal looks were getting of nick ,and Maria's partnership look amazing so hype they nail this show so far it's look very promising.
Getting a real “Skrull” vibe from Maria Hill during that scene.
I understand why they don't but I wish all six episodes was released at once. This is going to be one that you will want to binge the whole season.
That would be great

Pumped for this . Fury is gonna have something up his sleeve . There's gotta be a plan for sure
Thank you so much.. NYC one
I had an opportunity to see it.
It’s gritty and there’s a couple of surprises in it. It’s very dialogue heavy.. but I dug it
