Very useful video, to see the evolution through time ! Why do the numbers of Irish and Germans go down after the early 1900's ? Mass "re-migration" ? Homesick ? Going back to the motherland for patriotic reasons ?

Those are the number of new migrants. After the early 1900s a lot of our strictest immigration laws were created, and quotas imposed. These quotas drastically changed how welcome immigrants felt even if they didn't actually stop them from moving. Mexican and Hispanics however just ignored many of the rules or used special farm worker and birthright citizenship to add more and more. And just needing a pickup to cross the border instead of a plane or boat also helped more Mexicans come

Do you notice that each sudden increase of most nationalists occurred just before during and after a war in the region the come from. even the Mexico with the drug gang wars in the last 50 years.

And what about Jews? They were included in other countries?

being jewish is not a nationality. You may have noticed that orthodox christians were not included, a distinct lack of presbyterians and no count for zoroastrians at all

@@lorrainemoynehan6791 Jews sure do act like a nationality even a superior one in their minds! And in the beginning of the graph they have bunched Africans into nations, even though those nations didn't exist at the time and it was a tribal society. Making it look like migration was not forced upon that group of migrants. This video is full of mistakes!
Also the dwindling of numbers as first generation of migrants died off, doesn't reflect the notion of ethnicity that second generation have.
If the author had dared, this thing would have been produced as a graph of race and would have been typical American in nature!
To include or seclude people by categorizing them. It's just stupid!

What song(s) was used in this video?

I’m fairly sure it’s Piano Trio No 2 by Schubert.
      It’s 100% Schubert though
