That speech at the end just made me realize how much of myself I've given up to be a stay-at-home mom and raise my kids. I have completely forgotten about my own dream. I needed this speech so much and I'm sobbing because I've never had anyone tell me I can do it. I just keep hearing that I can't. So thank you. This is so touching to me! I was a drama kid for 4 years while in high school. When the parting cast members was giving their speeches I was in tears. This reminds me of our closing toast when it was the last performance. Watching this reminds me of the sense of community and family that comes with a production. Working day in a day out to create a masterpiece with like minded people. I miss this more that anything! Thank you Colleen for sharing this journey 😊

The way you described the friendships and family that theatre and broadway gave you reminds me of how I feel about my marching band friends. Sure I love playing clarinet, but the people that I looked up to as a freshman, the people I've made inside jokes with, the people who have sat through every long rehearsal, bus ride, and show with me, and the people who look up to me now that I'm older, are what makes it unforgettable. I feel like it's so important for everybody to be part of something bigger than themselves. It could be a sports team, club, theatre, dance, band, orchestra, whatever. You will make friends there that you will have forever.
Never knew I needed the talk from Colleen that I could achieve my dreams 😭😭 #weeping
