I love how this feels like the beginning days of Minecraft. I appreciate you explaining what the Nether is without even mentioning it's from Minecraft - it feels nostalgic, in a way.
I didn't even realize how expansive this game can be, using mods, of course. And the most insane thing is that it is all non-profit and everyone is a hobby-modder. People who just want to have fun making mods like these to make the game feel much more alive.
Wow, this came at the perfect time for me, just as I'm delving into mine test modding. There aren't many resources on UA-cam for this topic so this video is valuable
Awesome video thanks. Currently playing Mineclone 2 as we grew bored with Minetest. These mods, however, give me some ideas to make Minetest more exciting than Mineclone.
Minetest is better than Minecraft and pretty much every other block game imo. I love these mods as well as the Mineclone mods. I'd just wish someone made a video for people who are moving from Minecraft to Minetest on how to have a similar yet unique experience to modern Minecraft using a selection of mods. I know they exist. Also a technical tutorial on how to run a minetest server on a VPS or hosting provider with mods would be great too.
I hope word spreads around about this game, the more modders know of it's existence the better, the game was literally designed to be tampered and modded with, so much so the coding is actually really easy and simple to understand and you don't need unnecessary addons like Forge or Curse Forge.
in an earlier post i recommended that u have some text onscreen to indicate the name of the mod, and i see that you've done that this time, and it's great! thanks for that, it adds a level of polish and nice and easy to see the mod's name while seeing it on the screen.
awesome video. revealed several mods that i'll be trying out asap. you should make a video that showcases a certain category of mod. like a vid just for weapon mod, another vid for mobs mods, another for decor and buildings, etc.
This big video was very useful to help me quickly discover many mods I didn't know about in a short a sweet way. I wish you the best making it to 1K before 2024, you deserve it! I think to get more subscribers, you're going to have to find a way to get more people to find your videos, may I suggest you attempt introducing newcomers from Minecraft to Minetest, explaining the differences and what makes Minetest unique? I think this way you get many new Minecraft viewers, you introduce a bunch of people to a game they might not know about, and if they are curious to know more, they have your whole catalogue of exiting videos to explore! :) Honestly, you're probably the best Minetest content creator on UA-cam, keep up the great work!
Thank you so much for the words of encouragement! Yes, introducing Minecraft players to Minetest, would be an awesome video, still planning out the details of it, but definitely something we want to do soon!
The scuffness of Minetest and some of these mods really really reminds me of old Minecraft where things are still very simple and mod showcase being everywhere.
Yeah the Wilhemines definitely are cool, but there was so much good stuff to fit in this video; at the same time, the textures of Wilhemines don't fit super well in Minetest Game, and this video was centered around more "vanilla-friendly" mods.
Some of these mods should be integrated into the "game", rework them if necessary and improve the aesthetics so that it is not necessary to retouch it in the future.
Here's a suggestion: The inventory manager, the one by Krunegan, because I guess it's got a few more features and looks better than the other. The moderator could really mess with the players, I think, with that mod. And who doesn't like to mess with people. That's why there are so many urban myth monsters for Minecraft: playtesters for a secretly-still-extant game that was Minecraft's big brother managed to get into Minecraft worlds with weird invisible or freaky skins, and mess with the players on those worlds. Furthermore, other people who also liked to mess with people orchestrated hoaxes based on these. Any mod that allows you to mess with other players (especially if you are the moderator, because things would get really messy if non-moderator players got this power) is awesome.
I found the best mod this mod adds a lot of furniture for example there is a working TV for example there are plates and decors and the name of the mod is home decor
Great content but slightly religious, your doing grest things for the minetest community but i can say the religon stuff is very old and most stuff around that time was disproven eventually like flat earth, but faith is a powerfuk thing and has sometimes led to greater things, and not so greater things, just as all does
Thank you sir. Not religious my friend, we believe that Jesus Christ was the Son of God and that he came to this earth to die for your sins, and all you must do is place your faith in him to be guaranteed a home in heaven - religion is abiding by rules and working to get into heaven. Thanks for watching the channel!
@@alfarogaming I'd love to believe there is someone who always will love every human but it just seems too ideal, the God you speak of was created in human image after all... if he was supposed to come here, he would of long ago, it is a shame no one seemingly can stop the inevitable consequences of humanity exploiting the earth but so continues since recent history

Minetest got independence from Minecraft
NOSTALGIA... OVERLOAD...
I cannot express how happy it makes me to see the mods I was playing with my dad over 9 years ago are still being updated 🥰
damn i didnt even know this game was that old!

Very nice video! The editing, the voice, is of very good quality, keep it up.
Bro, you're like the Skip the Tutorial in Minetest and I'm loving it! Also I wuld like to see you having a better GPU, these lags got me like brrr

Very good video! Digtron and Crafting bench made me excited because I love tech mods in minecraft!
dude digtrons are extremely op but so fun to play around with
Man i feel like it's 2010. This is so weird
One day mod packs will be made, it's very nice how a game like this can have a lot of potential.
Thanks for this review, I did lean about 2 new mods, even tough I'm a long time Minetest player.

Basically this is the gaming equvalence of a pot luck event. The table will be empty unless someone contribute something.
Haha amen
The scuffness of Minetest and some of these mods really really reminds me of old Minecraft where things are still very simple and mod showcase being everywhere.
How did you not include any of the Wilhemines mods? These make your Minetest world come alive.
Yeah the Wilhemines definitely are cool, but there was so much good stuff to fit in this video; at the same time, the textures of Wilhemines don't fit super well in Minetest Game, and this video was centered around more "vanilla-friendly" mods.
I actually have some of these, and I saw some that I want to get in the future. Thanks for the video
2:10 proceeds to instantly go gta sa parachute flying animation lmao
Great video, so many mods you could do another :)
Such a great video! Keep going!!
Thank you! Great mods in here.

Not sure if it was out when the video was recorded, but there's also a mod called GGraffiti that let's you paint anywhere you want (on any block).
Do mods made for older versions of minetest work for newer ones?
Those are some nice mods, thanks for sharing. You should add the basket mod as well. It is a great mod and is very useful.
Great Video. Technic and Techage mods if you want serious automation :)

This is a cool video great job
First day playing mintest
i reeally searched for this video!! tysm!!
Great video!
It must've taken you years to do the chapters sorting
We weren't going to add them but it somehow did it on its own lol
really cool video
I found the best mod this mod adds a lot of furniture for example there is a working TV for example there are plates and decors and the name of the mod is home decor
how did you get that beautiful GUI in 1:50 ?
It's part of the "Worm Farm" mod
Very helpful
How do you get those shadows in your game? I REALLY want those shadows! I've been playing Minetest since about 2020 myself
You can enable these if you have 5.6, just go to settings and enable "dynamic shadows"
W❤W! That’s Awesome! Cheers!🥂❤️✨
so far, tumbleweeds and campfire are 2 sweet ass mods
What is your PC specs?
7:56 isnt that just 682?
are these all compatible
Not completely, flowerpots and baked clay are incompatible as far as I know, and caverealms, nether and rail corridors don't work super well together
@@alfarogaming ok thank you
Also do you know which skin mod does the server "your land use" I really need to know
I haven't played "Your Land" yet, so I'm not sure
@@alfarogaming have found the mod it uses it is named skinDB with the undefined inventory

It is named WorldEdit, too.
I can't belive that I was the 151st sub
