- Watch me make Mew from Pokémon! This is a poseable art doll and is a cross between a sculpture and a plush. The head is made with 3D printed resin. Check below for a link to the products I use.
This is one of the most requested Pokemon I get, and for good reason! Mew is adorable and I'm very happy with how faithful it turned out. I'm not sure if it technically counts as life-size but it's just under it I believe but very close.

Have you ever thought of using liquid latex to protect the eyes during painting? The kind they use in nail art. You should get a satisfying peel when you remove it too, which is always fun

Being a bit of a 3D modeling hobbyist, it instantly reminded me of unwrapping a UV island for texturing. This type of island gives each triangle space on the texture proportional to its area in 3D space.

Saw this on Instagram, and I've just gotta say, this is SUPER impressive. The mix of 3D printed parts, plush making, just everything is so cool to see come together. Those weird flexible joints are also the PERFECT thing for something like this, I love it. My only problem is now I want to make one myself knowing fully that I don't have the money, resources, or skills to do so. XD

I love this! I want to sew a life-sized mew plush but never knew how to make the pattern. It's cool how you 3d printed it and then made the pattern based on the tape layout.
Your art dolls are so incredible. The time you take to map out the patterns really comes though with a feeling of quality.
If i could be so bold, perhaps going forwards a light coat of paint colour matched to the fur around places where the armature might peak though the fur like around the eyes? To hide and potential gaps 😊
Thank you! I'm a little confused what you mean since I did do that, you can see me paint around the eyes with pink paint and it matches the fur color
@@UmbraTundramaybe they meant to paint the armature before adding on the fur?
@@kimberleyligtvoet9049 I do it after because there's always tiny bits of glue that dry white, the paint being added at the end helps hide those.

Mews Size also kinda Varies between different Media.
Where it can go from being the Size of a Chihuahua, to the Size of a Human baby.
Personally I prefer Mew being Smaller...makes it cuter 😊 and alot more crazy when it uses its powers

So cute usually I think dolls are hard, mini and a human, but it looks adorable
I LOVE this!!! Mew is my alltime favorite mythical pokemon and I have to say as a plushy lover as well, It's so expertly crafted, and the proportions are spot on!!! I'd love to see a realistic Vaporeon plush or a Popplio plush! Those are some of my favorites!

That's so impressive! I'm sure your current skill level is the culmination of many years of labor and practice! Also, I love that you hand sew everything! Maybe that's the norm in the doll making world, but I cosplay and hand sew everything and people act like I'm a weirdo who needs to buy a machine, so it's nice to see someone else hand sewing lol. I bet hand sewing fake fur all the time is harder on your hands, though. Great work!
Thank you! I have been trying to force myself to use the sewing machine more often, I probably just need to get a better one that goes slower without stalling. I just hate pinning, since it has less wiggle room and is a fairly small area I always feel like I might as well hand sew 😅 I've heard some people fully hand sew entire fursuits and those people the true MVPs lol
