After discussing the normal function of peroxisomes, we will go into USMLE step 1 disorders related to peroxisomal deficiencies. Dr Zach, you are the best! That acetyl aldehyde that the body makes is still very toxic(brain fog, candida, alcohol) so to break acetaldehyde down into acetate, Mo the most unpronounceable element on the table is needed for this enzyme aldehyde dehydrogenase to work or we get the symptoms of acetaldehyde symptoms. Can you talk about the metal cofactors on how they are critical for these enzymes to work since Mo is the most deficient mineral I see on Hair tissue mineral analysis?
