Enjoyed your video, thanks. I have to agree on two things: EMOVIS tags & Lock 'n' Level. Both make life easier. We have the EMOVIS tags for France/Spain/Portugal and find them great value. We always joke how in France the barriers often don't open until you have stopped and are almost touching them!
We are also with you on the Toll Tag, it has proved once again so easy to use. I do like the 30 kph lanes to easy to roll right through and you get the beep at the start of the lane. We had a few that we had to roll right up and almost touch the barrier before we had the beep.
Thanks for the kind words John, glad someone noticed. Honestly though, the amount of times I have to watch it editing, I sometimes do it just so keep myself interested...
Thanks for watching. It was a bit of a pain in 30 degree heat. Managed it without damaging anything with the help of a few people guiding me (and an audience 🙄)
Great Vlog Graham, can’t believe we randomly chose the same site as you to stop at. You on the way down us on the way up. We are just sat in the Caravan at La Bien Assise chilling watching your vlog ready for the ferry in the morning. So that’s 2 sites we have stopped at together. Well not at the same time of course. 😀
With regards to the comment on your Sat/Nav taking you down unsuitable roads I might have a solution for you. I purchased an Avtex tourer two and like you it took me down unsuitable roads, I complained to Avtex and returned to them so they could check it. It was returned to me without any problems being found, the technician explained that if a road is 10 foot wide and your outfit is 8 foot wide it will guide you down that road. I told him a friend of mine bought a HGV Sat/Nav off Ebay and as never had a problem. He told me to alter the default weight from 3500kg to 4000kg and it will take you down HGV routes. Since I done this I haven't experienced any problem even 8 weeks touring around France. Hope this will help. P.S. We loving watching your vlogs especially about France.
Very useful vlog thank you, we tend to turn off the A6 @macon along the A40/42 around by the airport properly a bit longer but stress free, stayed overnight at a large aire south of Lyon as the site we tried shut at 5 and we arrived at five past, one of the best nights sleep I’d had in a while.
Great Vlogs! We are heading through France enroute to Switzerland from tomorrow. By chance, how do you/what do you use to do the map recap? I love it! Be good for our trip..
TBH it was wider than it looked. Now my palms were sweating getting off the pitch. Everyday I walked past and mentally measured the exit. Yeah easy. If it wasn't for a Dutch caravanner being my look out I'd have grounded it at the back, the slope was too steep. Not fun at 30 degrees, huffing and puffing.
Thanks for watching. Some advice here www.caravanvlogger.co.uk/caravanning-in-france-planning/ Also there’s a playlist on my YT channel with our France vlogs 👍🏻
Enjoyed the vlog Graham - great journey ! So idling motorhome engines bug you ?…. What about camper van sliding doors that are constantly opened and closed ? We just returned from a trip and the camper next to us was slid open n closed 3 times during the night ( presumably because no on board toilet and have to trek to the facilities block) but that sliding sound does my head in ! 👍🏻Quality vlogging !
Thanks for watching. I can only go by our own experiences and we’ve never had a hint of trouble. You have to be sensible though, well lit, lorries parked up. Certainly we’ve driven through aires as they didn’t feel right. Each to their own 👍🏻If you don’t feel safe, better off booking a site..
That’s been debunked so many times. It’s only ever motorhomers. “Oh I’ve been gassed, woke up feeling rough with a headache” No it was the bottle of gin you drank. Oh and the amount stolen was equal to the insurance maximum 😂 I’m not suggesting they’ve made it all up for the insurance of course 🙄
We had our Mercedes broken into as we slept in the caravan on an aire The car radio was stolen and several items taken from the boot, even the Mercedes toolkit. The Gendarmes said that it was very common occurrence and so we have never parked overnight like that since always using municipal sites which are all over France.
I wasn’t suggesting it never happens, sorry to hear of your experience. If it had happened to us we wouldn’t sleep in them either. I never used locks on my car until it was stolen, now I use 2 locks in the car and have an immobiliser fitted.
Love my Toll Tag. I get a childish thrill when it beeps and the barrier goes up. Even worked on the Ile de Re bridge.
Your editing to the music …nice 👌🏽 A great watch. Just love your honesty.. even at the expense of us fabulous Motorhomers 😉😂
Thanks for watching. Yes, but my jokes are done from a place a love, not hatred 👍🏻
We do love our Graham… can highly recommend his international caravan vlogging
Thanks for watching and very kind of you to say 👍🏻

Loved the tunnel section great effects synced to the music.

Thanks for watching. We’ve stayed in a site at Macon, think it was a municipal site..
I bet Dan Trudgian would have got it around the roundabout 🤣
Yes. 100%, he doesn’t have a twin axle though 😂🤣

Thanks for watching. I use an app called travelboast
Enjoy your trip 👍🏻

I'm traveling this summer through France for the first time towing a caravan. Any tips

Thanks for watching. Doesn’t really annoy me as such, I agree about camper door sliding. Again, doesn’t annoy my but think it’s a bit inconsiderate.
I would not sleep in a motorway Aires , you hear of so many people getting robbed and especially if it’s raining.
Thanks for watching. I can only go by our own experiences and we’ve never had a hint of trouble. You have to be sensible though, well lit, lorries parked up. Certainly we’ve driven through aires as they didn’t feel right.

what a sad world we live in when I cannot give some honest information without being ridiculed.
