Thanks a million, you solve my Asus tablet. It has unresponsive touch screen for a year. A shop asked 50€ for repairs and I refused. I knew that one day there’ll be a video to repair it. Well Done!
I cannot thank you enough for this Video. My son is autistic and the screen on his tablet recently went out and we couldn't figure out why. After watching this video, we got it working just fine. You rock my good sir!

You are amazing! Have a Asus K010 for 2 years then suddenly it started to stop responding .The inside is a bit different, but the latches were the same and unplugging and touching the connectors solved my problem. So happy I saved my tablet.

Holy Crow...After going through literally 25 or more videos, I see why my touch screen was unresponsive after getting my charger port board repaired from eBay. This is the only video that showed the little lock that must be flipped up to successfully slide the connector in all the way. It happens around 5:42. Thank you for a thorough vid. All those hours wasted. UGH
Hi, after fixing my tablet, i am again having the same problem after a few hours. There was no rubber tape on the connectors. Do you think that i should add one?
It is a good idea, just make sure it is thin enough to avoid interfering with other parts or the assembly. Also keep in mind, sometimes it is an issue with charging isolation. Basically during charging additional charges are captured in capacitive display processing components and render it unresponsive.
worked like a charm!!! my tablet had been out of commission for over a year because i just figured it was done after i couldn't get it to respond. took me no longer than 10 minutes to pop the back cover off, disconnect those two connectors, discharge them, reconnect and BAM!!! i was back in business! although i did crack the corner of my screen removing the back cover but its a small price to pay than me just going out and buying a brand new tablet. thank you!!!!
my sister has an acer iconia 10 and tried this at home but it didn't seem to work, it's stuck on the home screen and won't respond. do you have any suggestion on how to fix it. we literally just got it 2 weeks ago and she accidentally stepped on it. the screen cracked and the screen won't respond.
My Voyager pro tablet screen won't work on some sides like I can't press back button and sometimes I can't press a search button, I can't press certain letters on the tablet keyboard I have to keep rotate the tablet just to get press those letters, I don't know how to fix it please help.

I left my asus transformer pad for dead, for a year or so, when I saw this video I wanted to try fixing it. Battery needed charging. . When I turned tablet on, it worked perfectly... so I didn't try this after all. Maybe leaving your device very long time to discharge on it's self completly, is one more way of fixing it!?
I have the exact same tablet and it doesn't work. I'm gonna buy an OGT cable to use a mouse so I can unlock the tablet and copy all the files. Then, I will see if it's worth repairing.
You should replace a broken screen instead, as the connections are permanently damaged. Check my other video about the broken screen issue: ua-cam.com/video/d3z3m_cjweQ/v-deo.html
there could be a number of things example the touch component of the screen is already broken. The technique in the video only fixes extra charges issue which is one of the most common issues making touch unusable. However there are a number of other issues that would require other forms of repair.

hELLO please respond and answer to my question. What is the cost to repair the touch screen?. I repaired my asus tablet that can be put in the keyboard basically its a netbook to the store, then the problem is only the touchscreen is unable to touch, the technician cant repair the touchscreen so he decided to disable the touchscreen then as it goes on... the keyboard was then broken but before we passed it to them the keyboard is not broken and is totally fine. so my question is what caused the keyboard to not function?
Your screens might has some issues the video only tackles the most popular cause for capacitive screen malfunction but there are many other reasons why your screen might not be working.
yeah i have a amazon kindle fire hd 7 inch 3rd generation, me and my brother replaced the battery yesterday and it works good the volume and power button are working fine and it is turning on and charging but the touch screen is not working at all, i have had this thing for a few years i dont want to lose it, it has a lot of important info and files on it. what do i do?
My Lenovo tab 2 a10-70 L wasn't responding at every side. I had to keep turning it to type some letters. I could barely play games with it, and although some parts of the screen is cracked, the side that is not cracked is the part that is not working. My dad said he would get a technician to fix my screen but I am not sure it would work if it doesn't work on some sides. So I tried fixing it. But it didn't have the same parts as the tablet you used, so I am just lost, and what should I do

yes it is best to start with the side which does not have any buttons, but do not swipe the tool you are using across until you could open it a bit at one location. Okay I see two flexible connectors on the left and right sides but the middle one is 6 little wires ( 2 black, 2 green, 2 red ) so I guess I shouldnt touch those. Anything else I can do with this permanent one, or should I just leave it and only touch the 2 flexible ones? Thankyou.
The wires are probably for the battery power, do not touch them. The two flexible are for touch and LCD functions, touch the one for the touch function if you could identify it, otherwise touch them both. Do it at your own risk as these cables are very fragile.
My tablet is Acer Iconia Talk 7, can you please help me out with fixing it? I'm really lost cause it all looks completely different than in your video:/
basically find the cables connecting the LCD (ribbon cables) and disconnect and touch them to discharge extra charges, but be careful as these connections are very fragile

Tabs are very thin, and the back cover covers the edges as well. So it might feel you are removing the screen, but you are actually removing the back cover not the screen. It should not help if you have the extra electric charges in the touchscreen, but if you are experiencing other software issues the factory reset might help.
I just want to say thank you so much. It's actually work. You have saved my tablet.

It should work on all touch devices but it is always tricky to open a tablet since there is no screws only snap-fits.

yes it is best to start with the side which does not have any buttons, but do not swipe the tool you are using across until you could open it a bit at one location.
