Installing a battery operated smoke alarm made easy is what this DIY howto video is about. Kidde i9010. Cool!
I've always liked the look of the Kidde smoke alarms so whenever I need to install a few I will look for those first & cross my fingers that whatever hardware store I'm at they have them. Most of the time though I go to Home Depot & they generally carry a good selection of Kidde smoke alarms....

Happy Sunday to you! This video is right up your alley. Did I install & explain it right? More videos to come. I have the hard wired smoke alarm to install at top of the stairs the smoke/carbon monoxide combo & then a battery operated combo down near the kitchen. I will be posting those next. Watch for them & let me know if you approve!
