At the centre I volunteer at they have one of the top end Bull X machines. I can fully recommend it. The customer service you get is amazing too.
I started using it every day to prepare for last season (which got canned because of bird flu nearby, although we have very little game locally anyway thanks to VHD) and it is a very good tool. I did have one silly accident with it once though.
Was flying a Harris' to it with a rabbit lure (weighted the same as the average live rabbit), trying to work him hard and accelerate the lure away just before he caught it as usual. I started to accelerate it (something of an art than a science on the RC transmitter, might get a new transmitter with programmable throws soon) and he surprised me with a sudden burst and bound on. Now, I let go of the throttle as soon as he grabbed it, but the line was running through an unusual bit of the field and hit a divot at that exact moment and he had his wings out wide. At that point it was acting just like a winch launch for a glider and with the stored kinetic energy in the drum this bird must've gotten the best part of three stories up in the air in about a second.
Lucky for me he decided to glide over the field and land with it instead of disappearing into a tree!
Always eased the power off slightly if it looks like they're within a foot or so of it after that. The power these machines put out is incredible and could very easily end up causing some serious injuries by absolutely flooring it at the wrong moment.

Looks like a well made bit of kit, your old one reminded me of my RC plane flying days, used a starter motor with a lump of rubber to wind the prop to start.
Good to see the Bullx in operation.
    Thanks for sharing.

The boys have just bought their own lure machine, not a bullx but like I said in previous comments they are funding themselves . Good video.

Hi everybody. Very informative video. It's a great machine, but first I have to have money. So far, I've used a pheasant thrower for hawks. I have two and they are set 200 m apart. If the first attack is unsuccessful, I will use the second.

It depends on you and the land you have available, more than likely a red tail or HH

@@TerraHistoria6 which would be best for a decent price and for hunting rabbits

A Harris hawk or a sparrow hawk would be the best starter bird.
