LOOKING FOR FEEDBACK:
I debated posting this video because I honestly didn't like how it turned out while I was editing it. I felt like going through the categories each time was redundant and it just ended up being SO LONG.
But I am about to birth a child so there is no time to be refilming/editing videos that I've already worked on lol so I'm posting it anyway and using this opportunity to get your feedback.
My thought is going forward I create a little graphic for the video that can show the "report card" for the palette's scores in different categories and where it stacks score wise/shipping/cost/etc against the other palettes.
I also want to continue to share the looks, but I don't think I'll make a point to talk through them, they'll just kind of be in the background while I share my overall thoughts.
PLEASE let me know if you think the above suggestions are good or if you have other suggestions for this type of video moving forward :)

Using a visual report card to help with redundancy is a great idea. It would also be helpful to have chapters for each palette so that viewers can skip around to palettes that they're interested in.

Hey first of all focus on your forthcoming baby and don't worry too much about us! We can wait - and also we'll love whatever you manage to put out, whenever that is! In terms of feedback - I generally like this type of long and detailed videos about palettes, so I won't complain! Re. a report card: definitely some of the more 'factual' info, like weight, country of manufacturing, price/shipping, 'expiry' time etc. But I still like to hear about your opinions on performance etc., and about the looks! Love seeing looks and hearing about them! Thank you so much for all the work you put in this, regardless of what you decide to do. Also, haven't watched the whole video yet but want to know what's on your eyes! Love this blue, and the combo!
I love the longer content when it comes to eyeshadow palettes and rankings. It gives us insight into your preferences. I also enjoy the spreadsheet numbers and how you rank. It is funny, despite all the calculations, it boils down to what makes us happy, we use the most! Another reason eyeshadow/makeup is so fun and all about personal preferences. ❤

I think because makeup and eyeshadow bring us so much joy, we hate waiting. We want instant gratification! Especially when others have theirs, and we are anxiously waiting on a shipping notification. Then, so much launches so fast it is almost like we forget about what we already have. 😊❤

I always enjoy your ranking videos. They’re a great resource for palettes I hope to acquire. Moving forward, I do think that having a report card graphic would be a great visual. But don’t stress yourself out with adding it to your roundup. Also, including your looks in the background without explaining them is a-okay too. Unless, you’re throughly impressed or loved the look, then by all means share your impressions.

I love how thorough you are with ranking your palettes and the way you have your spreadsheet for calculations. I look more at cost per shade rather than the palette itself, so in reality, Ensley Reign is cheaper by shade. I do, however, think they need to make smaller palettes like a 9 or 12 pan to make it more affordable for others to try. I have passed on a few of their palettes because i just didn't have 100 dollars to spend on one palette. I do think their mattes and shimmers and multichromes are amazing. The other issue is shipping on palettes! It's gotten crazy high lately! And if im gonna pay 15 for shipping, i dont want to wait 6 to 8 weeks for it. Im more of an instant gratification person, and i find myself also passing up buying a palette due to it being a preorder, and i can't get it soon enough to post looks. Those who get PR hyp up the palette, but by the time i get it, it's no longer hyped, and nobody is really interested anymore. Or at least that's what i feel. I like to promote brands i love but i dnt know how if i get the palette so late and later than most due to USPS shipping. Sorry bout my rant. But knowing how long it takes to get to me is very informative, and i like how you mention that so i know what brands to keep on my list that do fairly quick shipping.

I like the concept overall! I think shipping time and prices aren’t a huge deal for me. So in my opinion that could be omitted especially since it’s hard to get that info for pr products. I like the report card idea so we can see a visual of the comparisons!

Thank you for the Ensley reign comment. I have not yet tried the brand, so it’s not personal to me, but the discourse on their prices is really getting on my nerves. Their palettes are huge and have multichromes, so they are more expensive than most. Period. I like that they stick to what they like to do. Could they make their palettes smaller and less expensive to get people off their backs? Maybe, but they don’t have to. Sometimes, they internet gives me awful « mean girls » vibes.
I think because they had a few in the $88 price range they’ve been classified as being more expensive but they’ve definitely taken customer feedback and put in more mattes to be able to price them lower!!
Also I think a mob mentality has developed for that brand so they get a lot more flack than other brands doing the same thing as them!
I actually like the ones with more shimmers and multi chromes. The one that they just launched is my least fave. I still bought it tho hehe

I only ever post positive things because I only watch creators I like, but…I was listening to the video while cleaning up and wondered if I should say something and then read your own comment. Only speaking for myself, to me, shipping time and the price you paid on sale are information that add no value. I am, however, interested in a cost per shade comparison (using market price, but you could say if it is a brand that goes on sale or that has codes). For the rest, since I greatly value your opinion on quality, I only want to know your feelings on the palette. Is the quality of mattes good? How are the shimmers (intense, soft, metallic, sparkly, etc). Was the colour story fun, dit it make sense, was it easy to create looks ? I love seeing the looks you did in the background and I love hearing you comment on them, but it’s ok if you don’t explain each look. Last thing (on that topic), since I prefer knowing your feeling on a palette, I don’t think adding a numerical value on it is helpful (to me). I will make two other comments on your video (and really hope I am not annoying you).

As far as shipping goes, I paid $15 shipping for Cold Moon. Lethal cosmetics charges $8 shipping from Germany, Glaminatrix charged me $15 for a palette from Australia, Gloss Goods from Sweden was $15 for 1 palette.

I wonder how similar nomad new Zealand and the unearthly dreamer is, I'm not sure if I need both although I want them all. But makeup from US is so expensive for me so I try to be selective
I can see where there would be overlap between the two palettes! They are definitely different. If you haven’t made up your mind by the time I’m getting around to responding lol I think Dreamer leans more towards a wearable palette. Meaning it’s easier to create cohesive or more subtle looks, but the multichromes in the NZ palette are stunning so if you love a multichrome or more special/interesting color story for a look then that’s the better option!

I would call long a satin.
I think it’s more foiled than a traditional satin but definitely a noticeable difference to their other shimmers!

What’s upsetting to me is how a brand like Sydney Grace charges a flat rate of four dollars get these other brands or charge of 911 eight bucks instead of raising the price on their pallets they double the cost of their shipping but shipping cost haven’t dabbled why does nobody mentioned that are people so blind and they blame it on shipping it’s a disguise instead of raising their pallet prices. If it was actually 12 bucks to ship it to me I wouldn’t mind but when I know they don’t pay 12 bucks it’s crazy at 12 bucks they could throw the box in a USPS envelope and have it to me in 24 to 48 hours that’s food for thought isn’t it?
Yeah I definitely think some of the shipping increases are to cover things other than shipping for sure
