Finally no rain. We've had rain for months. It is a lot colder now, but I could finally clean everything around the chicken and guinea fowl. They still don't make loud noises and are so gentle and curious. We are used to chickens and they can be Satanic to each other. Have a wonderful Sunday.

Keep up the good work, Fred. You can do it! I never smoked myself but have 4 siblings that did and all but one have quit. YOU are more powerful than smoking. And the worst part is the beginning. Once you get past a certain point, it becomes easier & you want to keep going b/c you have come so far. I've also read that most people who quit smoking gain weight, even if they are not eating more [it's some bio-chemical change inside the body I guess]. Just keep being as active as you can and BEST OF LUCK. MM was so cute batting at the TV. And I love LL standing at the door to go outside [that's just what all our dogs did too]. Hope you have a good week ahead and not much rain! ❤🐾🇺🇸🇳🇱
My father smoked all his life. It catches up to you. He finally was admitted to the hospital because his extremities were swelling up. A sign that your heart and lungs aren't working properly. He went into cardiac arrest and quit breathing. He was brought back to life with a defibrillator. After 2 weeks in the hospital he was getting ready to get discharged. The doctor told him if he got a carton of cigarettes, he would be dead before he smoked them. He quit smoking but was put on oxygen. He had another 26 years with us before he passed away. He had a portable oxygen machine and had a fairly good quality of life. I WISH THE BEST FOR FRED'S JOURNEY TO QUIT SMOKING. 😊

@@Loulou_Friends - I smoked for decades. Here's a trick I've done, and Fred can do, if things get a little rough and he needs a reminder as to why he's quitting. Cut a little square off of a piece of paper towel. Put it over the filter of the cigarette and take some hits. Try to take hits in different spots on the piece of paper. Take a look at the paper and you will be amazed at the dark brown color all over. I've kept my piece as a reminder and it automatically takes away any cravings. :)
I'm also editing this to say that if Fred is doing good, more power to him and I hope it's permanent. I'd been trying to quit for the past six months. I'd make it for weeks at a time, even up to a month, but I would still go back. The paper towel trick is the one thing that finally cemented it into my head what I was really putting into my lungs. It's like I could longer betray myself by pretending I didn't know what I was doing to my body.
I saw my grandfather dying from lung cancer, when I was a kid. He was a heavy smoker. It's a horrible way to go, believe me. Stay strong Fred! Its worth it!

You can do it Fred! I always joke and say poor Fred surrounded by beautiful girls. Those girls need their Dad/Husband/Cat and Dog Dad. I quit too late and now drag an oxygen machine with me. If I can quit I know you can too. Do it now while your still young and healthy.

Those grey and white chickens are so beautiful. It brings beautiful memories from my childhood in Cuba. My great grandmother had them to in her farm. We called then “guineos.” Thank you for sharing! Kisses to the furry babies!🥰

I just lost my precious little dog, Grace. She was 15 years old the love of my life and heart. I’m so very grateful for Loulou and Friends to comfort me at this very painful time in my life. good luck Fred for stopping smoking. I managed to stop smoking in 2015. I took vitamins to stay in shape. and above all I did acupuncture and auriculotherapy (ear acupuncture). I've been told that hypnosis works really well. courage !

I have missed the whole Christmas and New Year period because we were in the process of moving from Switzerland to Mexico, preparing and travelling a lot. Today, I had a longer session watching your videos to catch up. 🩵
It’s dry and cold here too! Thankfully we have escaped the worst of the flooding here. My sister is experiencing colder weather in Northern Ireland. I think it’s very funny when Loulou/Coco bite their own feet like that. Your garden looks lovely as usual and those Guinea Fowl have really grown up! I will do my garden a bit later on when it’s not so water-logged. There is a clay base under my garden which traps all the rain. 🤦🏻It’s treacherous in winter! 😬Glad you are all doing well. ❤❤

Hi, yes Fred has now stopped for 6 days. He smoked for 33 years. He tried to stop twice before but failed. Now he really wants it and so far so good. I've never smoked so I can't imagine how intense the addiction is. Yes, I understand that you are happy that your mother has stopped smoking 🙌🏼💛.

Hope fred can successfully quit the cigarettes it's very hard to do I quit over 20 years ago it was hard to do it truly made a big difference in my life I even think that I may not even be alive today if I had not been successful.
Loulou, Coco and Mimi will soon display their ability to do without eating. Instead they will stare at food and absorb it instantly through osmosis. Fred was eating more to deal with the after taste of the beer. No doubt it did not meet his high standards. Thank you all for the vlog. Enjoyed.

Last night was actually the coldest in the last 8 years, as a result my car battery died and had to walk to work, at least some excercise at -27😂
Fred, you can do it, without gadgets, try not to eat too much (but you can adjust later). I’m an ex-smoker, 20/day, stopped thru sheer willpower 😮. It’s not normal to fill your mouth with smoke. Risk of cancer great. I am no longer a slave to cigarettes/ tobacco industry. After 3 weeks (yes….) I felt very smug and superior & free 😂. PS: I could tell from the type of cough you had that you were a smoker….. Good luck & don’t switch to vaping 🤨.

As much food as they eat - one acts as though she is starving and tries to eat the other's food, you could set them in separate areas when feeding so they don't have to gulp down their food at breakneck speed for fear that another animal will take it.
They always eat separately, this is just for the videos, it's easier. They eat the same and there is no difference in speed. xx

Ja hij heeft er 1 voor de zekerheid maar nog niet aangeraakt. Het gaat heel goed (natuurlijk heeft hij het zwaar) maar hij wil het nu echt zelf. Ik merk al wel veel positieve momenten, we kunnen namelijk een film in 1 keer kijken zonder dat hij een aantal rookpauzes neem 😂.

Are you going to document Fred's weight gain during his no smoking?
Yes , but for now he hasn't gained any weight yet. He once stopped temporarily and gained 10 kilos. Then he snacked a lot. He doesn't do that as much now as he did then, but he does eat more.
Wonder how the cat will behave with Coco's baby puppies.
