- I was in Nouadhibou City of Mauritania in Africa and went to the Epic Local Mauritanian market with my Most Insane Host ever. It was most Crazy and Savage Day of my Travel. I got stuck in Mauritania because my ATM card was not working and I was not able to get the Local Currency. I met many Amazing People and bought some local Mauritanian attire for my Iron Ore Train Journey.

Being very new and completely foreigner to your beautiful country, if intentionally or unintentionally I have hurt the people of Mauritania for anything or done anything wrong then I sincerely apologise for my mistake and will never repeat it again. My intention was never to harm anyone.

@@davelawson2564 - he doesn't have any issue in spending money . He was not happy about the behaviour of local guy who was making him pay extra in every shop. For example taxi costed arround 10 local currency per person but the host called some taxi which was charging around 200-300 currency.
It is risky to travel to such countries. However you are taking risks to show us the different parts of the world. Keep going.

And they don't even feel embarassed or ashamed, instead entitled Africans behave as if paying for them is the holy duty of foreigners. Even after they encounter Asian hospitality, they don't learn much. I assume it's a cultural thing. There are a few exceptions, of course

It was definitely an unwanted experience. This guy certainly ruined the mood. He could very well be under financial distress but fleecing guests for it, is absolutely not acceptable. He chose to host you so he should be more courteous. If his financial situation wasn't good, then he shouldn't have hosted you in the first place. However, if it is otherwise, then the guy is definitely shady. No matter how polite he is, conduct matters. It ultimately impacts the perception of tourists. Hope you have left a negative feedback on the site. Perhaps opting for a hostel is a better option in countries which are least visited. You are a brave and seasoned traveler and I really appreciate that.
