- A BrightLine passenger train travels through Atlanta, GA as it is transported to it's new home in south Florida.
My friends John, Tom, Elijah, and I chased this BrightLine train about 50 miles from Adairsville to Marietta, GA. This passenger train set is being transported to West Palm Beach, Florida for use on BrightLine's high speed rail corridor which runs from Miami to Orlando. We also filmed a GECX T-4 Demonstrator unit and CN power on a combined grain train on the CSX trackage.
TrainVlogs are in-depth video log (vlog) style films made for the purpose of documenting and explaining railroad safety, operations, history, and the hobby of train chasing!
BrightLine Florida launched in 2018 and provides high-speed passenger rail service between the cities of Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach in south Florida. An extension to Orlando is currently under construction and is expected to be in service by late 2022. Future plans have been discussed to connect to Tampa, FL by 2028. The service boasts travel times of just 30 minutes between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale and Ft. Lauderdale to West Palm which is competitive with travel times via Interstate 95 - even in positive traffic conditions. The route to Orlando will take approximately two hours from West Palm beach, and trains will reach speeds up to 125 miles per hour!

John, What a GREAT VLOG! Am so very excited about the entire BrightLine project! This was amazing to watch, THANKS for producing this!
Thank you Phillip!!! Me too, thank you very much :)
I can't believe it's taken me this long to come across this outstanding production! This was a great day in North Georgia Railfanning History, and I was shocked that the train made it down here with some daylight left. Oh, I especially enjoyed your adventure climbing those steps at the Acworth bridge lol 😆. Again, great job with producing this one young man, you've got a really fine talent for this!
Hey Steve! Thanks so much, I'm glad you enjoyed this. I am also shocked that it made it down here in daylight. Running up the steps was fun 😆 I just had to include the Benny Hill theme! I put a lot of time into this so I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
Wow that first segment was fffaaasssttt!
Cool train bro
Awesome video bro!
Thanks bro!
That Eric guy. Goodness
@@RailroadJourneys I'm a big fan of that Eric guy. But that Alex guy...
@@ICE6365 yeah that Alex guy is weird.
After watching this video I have come to the conclusion that these train-buffs are, as we would say in Australia, "2 grapes short of a shiraz". They are one very strange group.
Lol yeah, we're nuts!
This has been a while back right? 101 left Gainesville from its remote controlled yard duty at least 4 months ago
Yeah this was last October, so it fits that time frame. When I saw it, I instantly recognized it as the Gainesville grain elevator switcher
Train go weeeerrrr
Train go skrrrrrr

Awesome vlog John! You got a lot of good shots in this video! You look like you barely made it up the bridge in Acworth lol, also looked like there was quite a crowd there. The Glenda Mitchell billboards were hilarious too 🤣. Also nice catch on that X582 at Kingston! I’ve seen that third unit several times parked in Gainesville. My dad calls it grandpa.
Thank you Joel!! There were TONS of people in Acworth, and Michael and I had to run full speed up the steps to get to the top in time! Glad you liked the billboards - I always point them out to my friends when I see them. The X582 was a nice surprise, and I was not expecting to see "grandpa" on there! I've seen that unit parked several times as well, so I knew where it came from as soon as I saw it.
Yeah I saw “grandpa” parked every time I went to Gainesville and I even saw it moving once which was pretty cool. I wonder where it is now.
Gotta go fast
Faster, faster, fasterfasterfaster
