We discovered the Diva of the Middle East and Lebanon when I came to study at the American University of Beirut over ten years ago. That was a true revelation ! Fairuz is eternal and we always link gorgeous Lebanon to her ‘divine ‘ voice. Thank you for such a beautiful concert! Greetings from a Norwegian who loves Arabic culture’
Thank you sir for your nice words on Fayrouz😊 Thanks to the Jerusalem Orchestra for performing this famous lebanese song🎉 Also, thanks for reminding us from Norway that Lebanese culture, especially music and dance/Dabke, have nothing to do with Arab mentalities. From the Phoenician times through Hellenismus to the beginning of the modern era of Rome l'éternelle; Egyptians, Greeks (Hellas) and Lebanese (Phoenicians) spread culture, music, dance, poetry, mythology, writing, theogony, cosmogony, discoveries and Joy. In postmodern times we have also discovered talented Hebrew musicians, men and women. Thanks to the Egyptians, the Greeks and the Hebrews for having written about the Phoenicians of Lebanon. Personally, I believe that Hellenism has enriched cultural relations between the populations of the Mediterranean area, especially between Romans, Greeks and Egyptians. Finally, unlikely for the Turks, the British colonialism of Egypt and the relations between the Lebanese Christians and France also, brought this wonderful mixture of different musical instruments that gave rise, first in Egypt than in Lebanon, to a new air/sound of music. Unfortunately, since 1991 the two Arab masses have ruled Lebanon. Lord, we live in nostalgia because Plato's prophecy from the 4th century BC "la masse finit par vaincre l'élite" is happening exactly in Lebanon. God and humans should protect Israel and its populations.
Sorry. A far better version is from Feiruz - the original. George Matta is also good. Both Christians from Lebanon. This should not be played like classical music nor too slow. It was composed by the Rahbani Brothers, one if whom married Feiruz. Their percussion and twidles are charming and just right. This version lacks the Arabic spirit.
your arab spirit. You're not representing Lebanon. You've not understood either Plato fourth century BC "la masse finit par vaincre l'élite" basta. Since they're ruling Lebanon we have miseries thieves more criminals and Analphabetismus. I say thank you Israeli for this wonderful representation. I was impressed too watching the reinterpretation of "saalouni nes 3annak ya ha bibi". Merci beaucoup
It is no where near the original one. Though the singer has a amazing voice. This a beautiful Arabic Song. Jews will never be as great as the Arabs.Long live the Arabs.
God, this has nothing of the soul' of the original Levantine song. Best interpreted by Feyrouz & the Rahbani Brothers or the Flamenco-Arabic Fusion, or the lively Aleph Group! It's in the blood. You either have it. Or, you don't. Sorry Israel, you flatly don't have it. Like it or not, the Palestinians DO!
Orchestra has ruined this classic piece and singer's performance with her lovely voice is lost in this awful arrangement. I bet original singer of the song, beloved Fairuz" would be in tears as well.

Sometime no need to push for more, if you can not do. To keep as it is how Fairouz sang can be the best way.

steal land and music
Appropriation--reinterpretation. No one like Fairuz.
it is an Arab song
wow stealing our music as well haha if you have no shame do as you please.
The singer is under zero, no voice at all
