This is my favourite therapy drive so far, I love just driving but getting out with stops along the way to break the drive up is the best thing. Crazy that the jet has been there for so long, mostly untouched. I remember going to the crash site of a Chinook near where my family live (Mull of Kintyre, Scotland) and actually seeing all the pieces of engine and fuselage all mangled makes it all the more real
Just FYI, you don't need to go through the headunit to change all that. Hold up on the drive mode into individual and it brings it up on one screen on the headunit and you can change it all there
Now this is how I enjoyed the other camera angle. No interrupts to the drive so I could zone in and soak the drive but present during the intro & outro, which is a cool new addition.
long time viewer, first time commenter here. this is my favorite drive therapy video so far!! I love the different angles, and it feels very optimistic, like it inspires me to go do things on my own or go on a run idk. I'll definitely be revisiting this video every once in a while from now on.
just hit 1400 miles on my FL5 today! will definitely take mine out for a drive after work because of you :) where i live in NY they also flooded towns to make reservoirs to supply water to NYC
I must say, the therapy drives are always my favorite videos form you!! And as a fellow Massachusetts resident it’s super cool to see one of my favorite UA-camrs driving on familiar roads. Keep up the amazing work!!
This video was a total treat haha. I've been watching videos on aviation crashes recently so seeing a video of you going to visit one totally made my day.
I just installed the Integra damper module in my FL5 and am pleasantly surprised at how much more composed the suspension is now. Comfort mode is legit comfortable on rough roads and +R mode no longer makes me feel violently ill.
I got my 2024 Civic Si New Years Day and my word, I think 90% of the driving I've done in my car is therapy drives. I work from home so if I'm eager to drive my car (which I always am) I hop in the car after a meal and drive about for an hour or two. I live by the parkway so easy access to many curvy roads.
Love Quabbin! Good place to go to on a chill sunday, I live about 20-30 minutes out and never knew there was a crashed jet, so I've got weekend plans already!
I live about 30 minutes from the Quabbin and I’m excited to go find this crash site! I hope the FAA doesn’t mind if I snag one of those F94 wings to use as a rear spoiler. Thanks for all the inspirational content, Tedward!
It's Sunday afternoon, I'm feeling lazy, had a late night. Drinking some coffee and watching a tedward video; and the absolute feeling that everything will be okay just washes over me. Love you tedward, I'm taking the manual matrix Xrs out today just for you.
Randomly stumbled across your video, beautiful countryside, learn something about the car, learned something about your neck of the woods, Love your outlook on acceptance when running into slower moving traffic I was laughing because you literally took the words right out of my mouth! Great content! I love the car! Aloha from Hawaii!😎🤙🏽🙏🏽☝🏽
Between the pothole-filled roads and NPCs in SUVs, I've sort of given up on trying to enjoy my S2000 in Mass. I've never seen the roads in worse condition in my 40 years in this state. I will say, however, that some of the best driving roads in Mass are around the Quabbin. I actually recognized a couple you were on!
I find it absolutely crazy (and fascinating) that after 70 years, nobody stole pieces of that plane! I guess the valuable parts have been long gone but still, that feels like a "Fallout" style discovery, very random!
I don't know if it's been mentioned before, but the navigation disable only works for Apple carplay. If you're using Android auto, it leverages the navigation app within the head unit to offload that from the phone. Your navigation in Google maps won't work with that disabled
You can change the individual settings directly through the drive mode button on the center console, no need to go through the menus. Btw, I have no issues with wireless CarPlay on mine. I can also recommend Endless MX87 pads for mixed road/track use. It’s just a great car ❤
Miss driving like this on similar roads in upstate ny with my wrx... I'm on long island now and there is ZERO nice driving roads on the entire island lol.
Definitely an interesting digression. I’m surprised the old wreckage is left in place. Once the accident investigation was complete, surely it would all be put in USAF storage and the site restored?
Why have the CTR as a fun car? It seems like it would make a great all in one, but with a good daily, I figure something that loses a bit of the dailyness could be more enjoyable.
oh its still a great daily! And I use it for that. But I'd like the balance of "fun miles" vs "commute miles" to lean higher on the fun with this car. Not destroying it in the winter is a big part of that for longevity as well
@TedwardDrives Ah, ok, that makes sense. I figured it was retired more to being exclusively a fun/weekend type of car. Having it be the fun daily makes a lot more sense.
Man I would have loved to pick up the new FL5 Type R. If it wasn't for dealer markups I would probably have one. As it is I went with a Jetta GLI, which I like alot but I don't think it has the level of engagement the Type R has.
I think Honda realized that no one uses their navigation system and that it slows CarPlay down. My ‘24 si doesn’t have Hondas navigation system built in
Hey Tedward! I’m looking to purchase a CTR and have been able to locate at Msrp. I’ve been seeing reports of overheating, even with street use. Seems like heat soak is a real issue with these. Any comment on that?
I've never heard of anyone overheating on the street. On track they'll get warm but will manage a session just fine. The brakes will probably give you warning before the coolant
Have you be using your cars for fun or just to get to work?
To get to work
I started driving this february and i use any opportunity to get in my car, i absolutely love it
I haven't got a remotely sporty car so it's purely a daily/utility car.
Only have my M140i so I try to do both!
I am having fun with a small hatchback car with 65 horsepower
WE NOT DOING SCHOOLWORK WITH THE NEW TEDWARD UPLOAD 🗣🗣🔥🔥
FR I GOT A LAB IN 30 MIN BUT WE WATCHIN TEDWARD‼🗣🙏
Who would disagree!? There is no bad tedward video.
I’ve got senioritis out the rear, tedward does not help 😂
So real for this
TEDWARD SECOND ANGLE HYPE
Beautiful backdrop at 8:58. Also, loving the new angle where we can see Tedward.

works while in motion too!
Can they make rev change adjustable while the car is in motion as well :(
@@shuolangliu304 nope :(
One of my grievances of the car too
@@ShaiyanHossain I wonder what’s the logic behind this decision by Honda lol
@@shuolangliu304 probably worried about safety
It's such an interesting design they chose with the new Type-R. It has just the right amount of subtle and kick-ass.
Ted has quickly became one of my favorite people to watch on UA-cam, keep up the great work!
Now this is how I enjoyed the other camera angle. No interrupts to the drive so I could zone in and soak the drive but present during the intro & outro, which is a cool new addition.
CTR and aviation, this'll be a good one.

Starting the video with the first actual guide to disabling the Navigation tab. Tedward, you are a saint and my FL5's infotainment thanks you.
Best youtube channel ever, keep up the good work brother! enjoying these road trips videos like a child.
Looking at the caption, I thought your Type R crashed the jet in the woods 😅😂
That’d be a rad story
Civic video day is always a good day
I must say, the therapy drives are always my favorite videos form you!! And as a fellow Massachusetts resident it’s super cool to see one of my favorite UA-camrs driving on familiar roads. Keep up the amazing work!!
You included two things I love in one video, thank you!
It's a good day when tedward posts.
This video was a total treat haha. I've been watching videos on aviation crashes recently so seeing a video of you going to visit one totally made my day.
was hoping to get out driving this weekend but theres 7 straight days of rain here so living vicariously through you today
Love the mix of content on this one!
6 months ago the dealership near me was selling the R for $72k, $56k and now it’s at $49k. Hopefully I can get it’s for MSRP soon 🤞🤞
I’d shop somewhere else!
Hope you get it at msrp!!
Dealer by me has 2 type R both got MSRP. Prolly gonna have only 1 at Msrp soon 😈
I just installed the Integra damper module in my FL5 and am pleasantly surprised at how much more composed the suspension is now. Comfort mode is legit comfortable on rough roads and +R mode no longer makes me feel violently ill.
I’m definitely considering this. My friend the topher did it and he loves it

Tedward, as of late I’ve come back around to your videos again. Loving these new formats and the diversity in content. Keep it up!
Love the vibes in this video
Love Quabbin! Good place to go to on a chill sunday, I live about 20-30 minutes out and never knew there was a crashed jet, so I've got weekend plans already!
Tedward on the move was more enjoyable than I thought
Drives a type R and runs on Bostons? Truly my goat
def my favorite shoe
This type of video is fantastic
Also seeing Tedwards face for the first time, and not his crouch, is like spotting your teacher at the store vibes.
I live about 30 minutes from the Quabbin and I’m excited to go find this crash site! I hope the FAA doesn’t mind if I snag one of those F94 wings to use as a rear spoiler.
Thanks for all the inspirational content, Tedward!
Loved this little adventure, thank you
GR Corolla owner here, and I admire your car. I barely see them on the road either. This is definitely one of the nicer JDMs out there.
i love how your civic looks with the stock wheels! amazing car

As a local, I would love more of these vlogs. Maybe some urban exploration, too?
Just in time for the morning commute. Thanks Ted
Looks like a true classic.
I could watch these all day:)
Nice adventure, Dr. Jones! 🤠👍
Fun video! A little different than the norm, interesting facts about the area and crash site. Love the FL5 as well.
Between the pothole-filled roads and NPCs in SUVs, I've sort of given up on trying to enjoy my S2000 in Mass. I've never seen the roads in worse condition in my 40 years in this state. Hahaha dodint realize this video was just released. Stay safe man, nice driving as always.
What a beautiful video.
i hope you make more videos like this, this one was cool
3:13 Reflection on sunglasses to look like Tedward no limits logo ?

super cool video man bring us on more adventures like this!!
Tedward is growing day by day with his asmr driving videos ! 🔥👌
That is fabulous! I have always wanted to go out there and find that jet. You've inspired me....but I'm going to walk it.👍
i need this dudes life 😭
Omg what- I go to quabbin all the time, the drive from my house is beautiful and I never knew that was there
Miss driving like this on similar roads in upstate ny with my wrx... I'm on long island now and there is ZERO nice driving roads on the entire island lol.
Yes, therapy drives are back!
Thanks for the tip about ram usage!
Yay! Tedward Therapy Drive!
Respect the Run. Cheers.
"The Blair Witch Project III: Tedward Goes For A Jog"
Been here before, it was a long hike, but definitely worth it :)
I went in the winter though, it was crazy muddy
Amazing video btw ;)
Definitely an interesting digression. I’m surprised the old wreckage is left in place. Once the accident investigation was complete, surely it would all be put in USAF storage and the site restored?
Own an ITS. You make me want to go for a drive.😮
I think disabling the shift noise would be the first thing I did with an FL5.
i usually just pull over and enjoy the scenery a bit & only go when traffic is low
Honestly my current affordable dream car right now. Just an absolutely beautiful car with that Honda reliability and a bunch of fun that comes with it
hell of s video and history lesson Ted. This gave me Blair Witch vibes lol gosh we are getting old.
Haha too true
I got “influenced“ : traded my ole M3 for a civic SI
4:03 actually so real
I love the Type R, but it's amazing that people think this is quick car and 991 911 Carrera is slow, because is base model :)
In your channel's description, you've not added Lexus in MY CARS list.
Great call out! I’ll do that when I’m back home
ted, get a wireless dongle for the play. I use it for navigation and it works fine
It has wireless car play. No need for a dongle
I'm here for the nerdy reservoir facts
Funny watching your vids, I’ve just gone from rye Type R a lotus exige. The tyre r is great albeit a bit boring
I JUST realized what his pfp is and how clever it is.

Nice history lessons.
Does Tedward secretly love aviation as much as he loves cars?
I grew up flying :)
Have you seen anyone with either an FL5 or FE1 replace the electronic parking brake with a hand brake?
its been too long since you've done another type-r video!
Tedward have you done any suspension upgrades? rear swaybar etc..
damn im here in the first 5 minutes😂
Fun video. 🙏
have you put the summer tires on again?
Yup that’s the oem wheel with the summer tires
Dig out the 911 bro! I love it! lol.
OMG Amazing adventure woohoo ❤
I think Honda realized that no one uses their navigation system and that it slows CarPlay down. My ‘24 si doesn’t have Hondas navigation system built in
I’m pretty sure the SI never had it on this generation
the integra doesnt either. i miss that haha
So cool they left it there. Hopefully people really leave it alone…
Instructions unclear . Ran in an unfamiliar place. Now I am lost. Got my steps count goal though !
That's soo cool!
Whens the E39 Coming out? love the FL5 Content
Probably in the next 7 days
does ted still have the porsche
Hey Tedward! I’m looking to purchase a CTR and have been able to locate at Msrp. I’ve been seeing reports of overheating, even with street use. Seems like heat soak is a real issue with these. Any comment on that?

@@TedwardDrives thanks for that input!
It's not fully absolved of its overheating sins on track but it's miles better than the FK8 at keeping itself cool
How does this compare to the S2000?
Do you plan on doing any performance/OEM plus mods on the Type R?
Wheels tires brakes mostly.
