Peace of God

If we don't have the Peace of God on the inside, we will never have Peace on the outside. But most of us keep looking outside of ourselves for Love, Peace, Joy, Bliss...and all other attributes of God that can only be found within. We tend to think if we have a big house or a fancy car, or more money, we will have these things. But, none of this capable of giving us anything we truly desire. What we are really longing for is an experience of the consciousness of God. We all have it within us, but we forget how to access it. We tend to let our ego voice talk us into settling for the "things" of this world. But if we really want the Peace of God, we need to make it a priority over everything else. And we need to practice holding our Center no matter what life throws our way. So many of our challenges on the outside are just tests that give us an opportunity to choose Peace over illusion. And the primary key to Peace is actually forgiveness. But so often we choose wrongly, finding ourselves reacting based on patterns and wounds from the past. When we catch ourselves, it's best to just say "OOPS!", and then take a moment to visualize the event as if we had responded from a healthier place--thus forgiving ourselves. When we forgive ourselves and others, we open up to that sacred silent Center, where there is no judgement, no doubt, no fear; just a quiet knowing of what is Truth, a surrendering of all that is in the way of that Truth.
