Any spring rifle from walther are very hard to find in good condition, well done that man, right place at the right time, looking forward to seeing you shoot it ,😁👍
Brilliant. I really wanted one when they first came on the market here in the US but unfortunately lack of funds dictated elsewise to meet the. $700 + price tag. .... Very nice find Vin. 😁👍
Lovely guns the LGV. A well set up Rowan trigger makes a huge difference. I believe yours is the "Competition Ultra" rather than the "Master". I have the "Master Pro" and it is fantastic. All the same internals.
I have that box! I have that gun!! Wow did you get a deal on that. In US dollars that's like 321.00 dollars. These gun are hard to come by and you got on new in the box for well under half what it's worth! That is the Competition Ultra version and my favorite. Mine is in .177 caliber. I do have the LGU Varmint in .22 which is also amazing. These guns are heavy, but so is my Pro-Sport. Your right about not being to pellet fussy. These guns came factory tuned with a rotating piston to eliminate spring twist. These are the most accurate springers I own and the easiest to shoot accurately. My Pro Sport won't out shoot these for accuracy. I can leave these in the case for months and they are always dead on when I shoot them again. Like the Pro-Sport there is no metal to metal contact on the piston. I had the LGU Varmint out around the first of the year and put 5 shots perfectly through the same hole, not even jagged. These are the guns that official pulled my back into springers when I went down the PCP trail for a bit. Can't wait to see how yours shoots. The LGU Varmint has the black synthetic stock and weighs around 13 pounds with the big 4-16 scope I have on it. I had to replace the triggers on mine here in the US. Umarex imported them and they didn't have the factory 2 stage adjustable triggers. I bought a really nice Rowan trigger for my LGV and found an actual 2 stage adjustable factory trigger for my LGU on ebay. The LGV is just as accurate and my favorite to shoot of the two. It's a bit lighter than the LGU and easier to handle from the bench.
Hi Vin, Talk about a dog with two tails, lol! Jolly good luck to you, Vin. As many comments have said, what a beauty! I think you've landed on a barn find, there. I don't think youll be disappointed, I certainly hope not. You've got a joy of ownership, there, never mind how it shoots. I'm very pleased for you, as many others are here. That unit wouldnt have been there long, if you hadn't bought it. Good luck with it, although I don't think you'll need much. Best wishes Vin, Ian.
Fantastic I'm really pleased for you what a steal there's some proper roapy offerings out there at that price, can't wait to see how it performs I've a feeling you won't be disappointed 👍👍
Always loved the Walther rifles and that model I wanted some time ago , just after I purchased my Walther terrus .177 also an extremely accurate rifle I had it running at 780 fps , Cheers .
Hey up Vin what a bargain 😃I've been running a couple of LGU'S and they compare to the TX and Hw 77/97, trigger's needed a little fettling though, keep an eye on the LGV fore stock screws as they may loosen, apart from that enjoy.
Agre with you on the lgu superb quality and precision I'm so happy that after 5 plus years I finally got my hands on a second hand walther lgu a few days ago
Hope walther will start the production of the walther lgu and lgv again got a used lgu a few days ago and I love it happy birthday and enjoy the walther
Wow Vince 😁What a lovely rifle. I'm sure it will fit me perfect like my HW98 does. I like even the sober box 😆Quality air rifles don't need fancy Gamo like boxes to be sold... Congratulations my friend 👌🎉
@@vincentenglish8489 I own an early LGV 10 meter match rifle with diopter. It has a heavy barrel sleeve and even extra lead weights in the stock. It is also extremely smooth to cock and it is a pellet on pellet shooter. Ten meters i can still fix with my eyes, longer range i need a scope. Looking forward to the range video my friend 😁
@@richardthered I will try to get one to test on the channel. Having previously used a Warhawk I have mixed feelings towards it, however it could be I was using a dodgy one, I'm happy to try it again to see if that was the case. 👍👍
Don't believe this I've just missed one of these at my local gun shop He said the phone went mad as soon as he put it on the web site As I walked in I held the door open for a chap to come out and found out he had the lgv in his gun slip That's how close I was Gutted is an understatement 😢
Absolutely understand that pain and frustration it took me over 5 years to get my hands on a second hand walther lgu her in Norway I was in contact with the seller on mail and it was a great price but after a Couple hours the advert was gon but then it reapers for double the price so I waited a couple of days and contacted him again and I ended up getting a bargain on it because of a couple smal dents in the stock
Do anyone have a tip to remove small dents in a rifle stock I bought the walther lgu second hand and the stock has some minor defects but not so much that I want to redoing the whole stock
