RKF125 | The 2nd bike meet | Don't let a 125cc slow you down

Here is the 2nd bike meet up. One of the best days iv be out on the bike, was wet at the start but lest it dried up. I was the only 125cc bike there but I still had a awesome day. Looking forward to more.

Nice run out! I am based down south but I was up in Argyll this summer working out of Glasgow and I trailed my 125 XL Varadero up for the commute from my place just south of Oban to Arrochar for the train to Glasgow. It was a fantastic drive each way even if the rest and be thankful was a bit hard going! I am aiming to get my test done cos I fancy a big Northern tour but not using motorways makes it very difficult just to get there.
I wonder if there’s a book that covers bike journeys avoiding the motorway because it isn’t much fun riding them anyway. Go well!

Hi Robin. Sound like you had a good time out on the 125. I loved my 125 so fun to ride but the trying to avoid motorways is a pain. I used google maps for my runs and set it to avoid highways and it works really well or there is an app called Scenic where you can make your own route or use a pre-set route. Give them a try and see how you get on. Thanks for watching Robin

I’m looking at getting a rkf soon and I can’t find any good and cheap insurance company’s. My question is what insurance company are you with and how good are they ? Also im just up the road from you in Ayrshire

Hi Ryan My insurance was on compare the market and got it for £180 for the year that was the cheapest I could find but I am insured for over sea witch is a bonce lol. Nice, I seem to be up at Aye more with the bike than Dumfries lol.
