I think it has more to do with the quality of art in modern just being better than the sun and moon. So many more collectors like the art better in swsh and sv imo but to each their own
This is why I got back into collecting again after leaving the hobby after XY era and going in and out of the hobby over the years. The new arts pulled me in
I bought boxes of stellar crown and twilight masquerade to keep for a long time. If they get reprinted and somehow drop to $125 a box I’ll buy more. If they get reprinted and hardly dip then I’m still fine with what i already have. At this point i think everything from S&S and scarlet and violet eras will be amazing long term because of the full art cards. That’s the start of a whole new beast in Pokémon. They are beautiful cards and everybody wants them. SIR and alt arts will carry these two eras short term and long term.

After waiting years to see if it's even gonna be worth it. Evolving skies was lightning in a bottle so all these people are buying up every set so it seems like they're all gonna be evolving skies sold out everywhere but. They're not, it's just stupid and ruining the hobby normal people can't even enjoy it anymore
@EternalGaming-q4u just ordered em online. In general the box way to buy cards are boxes or specials through big box stores. The best deal for booster boxes is local comic shops in small towns that will ship.
And here i am, still buying the best product over the past 5 years, crown zenith, for retail or below. (Misfocused people) incorrectly spending "investment dollars" on things like stellar, or even twlight, are making horrible choices. Even two years out, there's no other poke product that will offer a greater return than CZ today.

There's only one product that has mattered over the past 6 months - if you're looking for a return on your sealed product - which has also been restocked multiple times, and that's zenith. 151 is close, but zenith, since summer 2024, has been easy to buy, and through poke centre, therrs still stock available. Someone can pay over 1k US on an evolving skies box today - or almost 500 on fusion - great sets, but the zenith return will dwarf sets like that over the next year, three or ten. Until zenith is completely out of stock on pokemon centre, or through big box, no other product comes close. It wears the crown and easily so.

I never said that the return was the best over the past 6 months, but that everyone has had a chance to load up on it, while most continued to chase inferior product or product that has already seen crazy gains - like evolving, fusion and prismatic - with those gains already lost, if buying today. As soon as it sells out on poke centre and sams, you will see immediate growth, but in a year, 3 or in particular 10 after that? There will be no product sold *today* that will get a greater (X) return than Zenith (pronounced zee-nith).

Doubt it sure it has plenty of stock today. Who's to say in a week from now or a month. It'll be all gone. Diversify is the only way.

Markets gonna crash in on itself at some point. Scalpers are just buying anything at this point so normal people won't pay for overpriced cards.
